South Carolina was recently ranked 83rd in the ESPN prestige rankings. Guess where UT is ranked...12th.

Tennessee should be higher than 12th and I'm not so sure SC shouldn't be lower than 83rd.

We were the winningest program in Div. 1 for the past 80 years prior to this season. 12th? take that list and shove it up your @$$, ESPN.

Excellence sustained over 80yrs and other schools jumped us because they got more heisman winners---what a JOKE!!!

spurrier is steadily wreckin sc recruiting & his status as a coaching great not to mention his reputation as a offensive whiz & qb guru is all but gone. hes running one qb off from his qb carousel which was prob the best one of the bunch. he redshirts kids then asks them to leave if they dont pan out to make room for a recruit. offers scholarships, kid accepts then pulls it 2 wks before nsd. on his show vows to give a deserving walk on a scholarship then gets amnesia when its time to fulfill it.

Though I don't disagree with all of your post, I want to point out some facts....#1, scholarships are year to year, you are not guaranteed five years when you sign a LOI; #2, spurrier did not pull schollies from 5th year seniors, he told them that they would probably not play and if they wanted to play then he would release them. #3: The jonathon davis story is a lot more than what your wrote. He was offered by Ron COoper who left, WITHOUT SOS's permission, then when RC left, SOS's staff who did not want him in he first place, tried to call JD to find out if he was still interested in USC and guess what, he did not return any phone calls. Now I realize and agree that once an offer is made it should stick, but JD did nothing for himself to help his situation and btw this happens more often than known in college football. IF you think that UT has never pulled an offer then I guess you live in glass houses!

And since this thread is about Alshon Jeffrey I thought I would post: Pete Carroll visits Calhoun County High on recruiting trip - Sports - The State

doesn't look good for UT or South Carolina, but especially not for UT. Maybe Kiffin and Reaves can sell him on Southern Cal east

Since he is committed to USC then its bad for both us and South Carolina, but its worse for us because Tennessee doesn't start with "Sou ...". :)

I wouldn't close the door yet though. Let's see how the visit goes.

Did AJ commit to Kiffin? I am just asking as I have not heard, all I have seen from our recruting pages is that he enjoyed his visit but no word on a commit or silent commit so I thought I would come here to ask, not to flame so don't give me $hit over my question...

not if it wa a silent commit, but I guess that you did not read my entire post (or do you not understand the word silent). I love how some posters on Vol Nation as complete dicks while most of the others seem to be pretty cool...and for the record you may want to revisit your last statement due to your pure stupidity
