Alshon Jeffrey

Fortunately quite a few recruits have scheduled late visits to UT. Granted it may be difficult to sway them at the point however a full staff should be in place and that could be the deciding factor to some of these recruits.

most of those guys will commit prior and never make it to Knoxville.

That's just how these things work. Last visit is good, but if the kid visits a school he really likes before that he may commit.

I agree...but from the other point of view I don't want the guy that prematurely commits...I want the guy who takes all his visits and hopefully since we have some coming right before NSD we will leave the lasting impression. UTK is a beautiful campus with a great atmosphere that can and WILL leave a great impression.

I think we should have some hot co-ed recite exactly what you just said to every visiting recruit... with a few tweaks.

USC commit Alshon Jeffrey has plans to see two other schools.Jeffrey, a Southern California commitment, is seriously entertaining the idea of staying much closer to home to play his college ball.
"I'm still committed to Southern Cal and as of right now that's the plan, but I'm visiting South Carolina on Jan. 16 and Tennessee on Jan. 23," said Jeffrey. "I'll see how those visits go and take it from there. Anything can happen."
There had been some talk that Clemson had moved into the picture, but Jeffrey said it's down to a final three.
"No Clemson and no North Carolina, it's Southern Cal, South Carolina or Tennessee," he said. "I don't think I need to say why I like Southern Cal, it's L.A. and it's great offense. South Carolina is my home team. I can't say I was a fan of any one team growing up but to play in state would be good and I talked to Lane Kiffin and he's going to run the Southern Cal offense at Tennessee so he told me I might as well stay on the east coast. After I take my last visits I'll figure it out."

Well I cant say i disagree with you on that haha. But how about we get a QB to throw either of them the ball. All i want for Christmas is a tall qb with a rocket arm...

Great find. Thanks!

Im from the same area as Jeffrey (calhoun County SC) and was back home this weekend and talked to some ppl who knew him personally. I told them to let him know we need him in Knoxville.

Stokes over Jeffrey, Stokes is such a fluid player. I really hope he comes here, but then again I really hope Jeffrey takes a good look here.
