This is really weird. He was in the news protecting himself from a barrage of fake news. You think it might have been different had the dems not pushed Russiagate and an impeachment? One of the things I'm looking forward to is having a president who isn't trying to be the "star" of the evening news every single night.

Don’t you just love how much they rail about “cancel culture” and yet want to yell fake news at anything they don’t agree with? It’s so cute.Trumpers suddenly and enthusiastically lumped all press calling him on his BS as "fake", I figured it was a lazy way to reconcile having to deal with the absurdity of his lies.
No, Trump wants to make himself the center of TV news. Which is one of the reasons he throws tweet bombs out, even when he's on vacation, holidays, etc. He can't stand it when the news is talking about other things. This is really weird. The news media are more than willing participants. Dare I say it, enablers? It seems that they just can't get enough, just look at the frenzy they generate just to ask him loaded questions. . .No, Trump wants to make himself the center of TV news. Trump tweets about election results and skips session on pandemic during G20
President Donald Trump participated in his final Group of 20 summit on Saturday by tweeting throughout the opening session and skipping a special side-conference focused on the coronavirus pandemic.
It was a fitting end to Trump's career in global multilateralism, which he has expressed his displeasure for since his first group summit -- a G7 meeting held cliffside in Sicily -- resulted in the feeling he was being ganged up upon by other world leaders.

We literally lead the world in virus deaths, and our "President" walks out of a G20 meeting to...
[drum roll]
Play golf.
That this fact doesn't bother Trump fans is utterly pathetic.

What did Obama screw up so royally, yet the "reliably left wing American news media" treated him with kids gloves?
The disconnect between what the Trumpsters are saying/tweeting about the election, and what they're actually doing in court, is something.

This is what I’m talking about, more or less.
They’re out making these big statements about fraud. They get to court, they don’t allege fraud.
They make these big statements about going to SCOTUS. They get to court and ask to go backwards back to District Court.
They’re going on TV and lying their asses off. They don’t have anything. If they did, they’d have shown it by now. They’re relying on people listening to their television spots and reading the headlines rather than reading more deeply into what happened and what their filings say.
Strategically, I can’t say I totally blame them, it was an effective strategy for defusing the Mueller report and the Ukraine situation. Their people believe what they want to believe, people who don’t care don’t care, and people who hate him just have one more reason. The number of people who actually pay attention to this stuff is so small that they’re effectively irrelevant so away we go.
They’re not because the SCOTUS ruling would be big news that would drown out the spin, IMO. This district court judge in Pennsylvania putting the smack down on them just about unraveled the whole thing. Having Kavanaugh, Barrett, and Gorsuch sign an opinion that does the same would be the end.If what was quoted above is their complete filing to the 3rd circuit, one may question how seriously they're even trying to get to SCOTUS.
I'd be interested to know what the financial arrangement the campaign has with their attorneys, especially the celebrity ones. Who was paying Powell?IMO for most of them this isn’t even about trying to extend the Trump presidency. Trump keeps lowering the % of fundraising money that goes to pay the legal team vs. what goes to campaign debts. I’d wager that a big reason the campaign spent 4 years raising hundreds of millions of dollars and was broke by October is because a lot of those debts are going to pay inflated prices for rent and services from Trump, Inc. and others.
