Amateur Hour Continues

Then what was the purpose of your tweet other than “orange man bad”? So 15 years after us arriving and blowing the hell outta their country our “host” would like us to leave? Truly shocking...

I repeat let’s get the hell outta Dodgeistan

1. This is an implicit acknowledgement that ISIS is not defeated.

2. I see no evidence that Iraq "respects" us any more now than it did three years ago.

Lol talk about Iraq like it’s one unified country . How many “ tribes “ are trying to control it ? Which one of these said they wanted us out ? Now ask why they do ? No western country will ever get respect from Iraq or Iran . They may fear what we can do to them , they may ignore us when we show weakness , but that’s the only two things you can be to them . So pick your poison .. strength or weakness .

1. You can’t defeat an ideology. All you can do is blow the living hell out of everything and everyone in the region holding the ideology... for now till more come. Mission accomplished!

2. Who GAF if Iraq respects anybody? I damn sure don’t. We had no business invading them in 2003 so I don’t blame them for wanting our asses out even though Saddam is gone. Was not wort it.

I don't see what the fuss is about?

Not sure why any American would have a problem with a former Army Major who has been awarded the Bronze Star and two Army Commendation Medals (turned TV news host) teaching kids about the history of the Pledge of Allegiance.
He's more about making kids sing "barrack hussein obama mmmm" than the Pledge.

Before we invaded Iraq there were tribal wars and there will continue to be tribal wars after we leave. You can’t defeat that ideology that has existed there for hundreds of years. We’ve seen the result of trying to do so. It doesn’t work, stop trying to micromanage the killers and get out. Enough damage has happened to American soldiers and 1 was too many deaths for a war on ideology you can’t win.

They hand-picked a few students and brought them into a phony classroom in the studio for this segment. Is it that hard to go to an actual classroom?

Anyway, I see little value in having kids recite the pledge of alliance every day. In North Korea this kind of thing is called indoctrination; I guess here it's required "patriotism."

When did Patriotism become a bad thing?

My grandfather a ww2 vet in France and Germany would stand up , place his hand over his heart, recite the pledge ( on his own ) and expect me to do the same because in his words .. “ the men that believed in this country , that fought and died because of their belief in this country deserves our respect and it’s the very least we can do for them and the ones that will follow them “ . Now I told you that to tell you my opinion on it .. I’ll go a step further and say he was also doing it and fought for his belief in god and country to give you the right to believe any stupid thing you want to believe .

No news here but it is something how this guy has zero empathy for unfortunate.

So the Dim idiots are encouraging these people to cross illegally and put their children at risk. Trump and his admin are saying don’t do it we will do everything we can to stop you. So he’s right. He didn’t encourage them to do this the idiot Dims did. They own these children deaths not Trump or his admin. Period.

Yes, yes and yes... agree. You cannot align with all the ideologies in that region... two maybe, but the rest will be pizzed and will raise hell. I think the experiment in Iraq needs to end now. Build our oil reserves from our vast supplies in the US.

The "empathy" is only for illegals not citizens of our own country.
I learned early as a nurse if I don’t take care of myself, I can’t take care of others. The learning process is painful. When you finally reach that point it does kinda resemble lack of empathy that you aren’t at the bedside for 12 straight. But when you haven’t peed for 11 hours and your blood sugar is 60, kinda hard to care for others.
So for anyone out there touting that people other than our own citizens deserve our
“empathy” more than we do, they need to be a little more honest with themselves and look at the state of our own citizens. Being hyper vigilant about the problems with other countries is fine and dandy until the you realize we can’t take care of “self” first.

That’s feelings and emotions over riding common sense.

That's fine. My opinion is that there's minimal value in requiring students to recite it every single day. It strikes me as a bit statist. Your mileage may vary.
