Makes sense why this came up now. Don't suppose they might do something like cover the pogroms across eastern Europe and Russia to show the other socialist side of genocide. I don't give a rat's ass about a statue... as a 45 year resident of Tennessee, it is embarrassing that this state has a day designated to honor a former member of the Ku Klux Klan. It is the kind of thing I normally associate with backward states such as Mississippi and West Virginia... but I guess we are just as stuck in the past as they are.

Sure it has and Trump takes it to an extreme. He plays identity politics and accuses any critics of his of being partisan. There isn't a day that goes by where he doesn't lodge a complaint on Twitter about someone's alleged political bias, always portraying himself as the victim of this bias.
