Not really, most of the people spewing this crap [not implying you] are either 1. Rednecks 2. Conspiracy theorists. 3. White supremacists 4. Members of the Glenn Beck fan club 5. Teabaggers.

Outside of that, I see no reason for people to stand up to the evil, muslim, kenyan, communist dictator.

Would you like a tin foil hat?

:birgits_giggle:

I've been a #5 before, but never a teabaggee.

EDIT: I laugh every time I see the new crop of protesters called teabaggers. Just something funny about that to me.

How are they so different than those who signed the Declaration?

How is the end around happening in congress today anything but taxation without representation?

Good point.

Half of the reasoning behind this overreaction is ignorance, not to say that some are honestly concerned, to which they are entitled to the freedom of expression.

I just find most of these individuals reasoning to be irrational, because they had little or no concern under the previous administration and now are wanting to start a second revolution.

Wrong! I had a dislike of Bush's treatment of the Constitution and Clinton before him. They have pushed the envelope more and more since Clinton. The more they get away with, the more they will take. That is why it has to end now!!

The government works for us, we dont work for them. They do what we demand them to do and most in Washington have forgotten that. Thats why we must remind them of that. I do not wish to tell you how to live your life and you should not have the right to tell me how to live mine either.

You'll fit right in with the new dumbed down, sissified society that this government is molding. Enjoy it when they take all your rights, tell you how you can live, how much you can make and when to wipe your butt.:eek:k:

I find Glenn Beck entertaining.

I feel bad for anyone who finds him more than an entertaining sideshow act.

I was asking CV, but personally, I could care less who marries whom. It makes not one iota of a difference to me.

In most cases, I think abortion is a personal choice to be made between involved parties.

Your flaw there is that the most important person involved does not have a say in the matter.

You know he raises a damn good point. There is a fair amount of hypocrisy on the Right when it comes to espousing freedom, but then telling people what is socially acceptable.

without a doubt. That's why I'd like to see the far right, social rulemakers find another schtick or shut their holes. Conservatism is about limited government, not government intervention on behalf of the Bible.

I think most of us on the right are personally against gay marriage and abortions but would like to see these issues left up to the states.

The are social and fiscal conservatives and one can be both. What policy decisions have been implemented due to "government intervention on behalf of the Bible"?

I didn't say you can't be both, even though the two positions are actually diametrically opposed. One asks for limited government and the other asks the government to proclaim for us right and wrong. Makes no sense.

The anti abortion movement is a Christian coalition backed movement asking the government to enforce biblical views. Calling it anything but is simply intellectually dishonest.
