I see you’re still struggling with McCain’s lousy naval career.... I’m not disparaging him as a human being. He may have been the nicest, most awesome man you could ever meet..... but his naval career was that of a flunky ..... and no I cannot fathom being tortured and it’s unfortunate he was.... I’m glad he survived and was able to enjoy a successful life afterwards.

Unless something has changed that I have missed we currently have more troops in the Middle East than we did when Trump took office. About the same total overseas as a whole.

I can actually get behind his position on this. But like everything else he talks big and does little. I guess as long as he repeats it enough his followers take of as truth though.

But again, Trump repeats it enough and his followers believe it.

Historically the stock market has faired better under Democratic Presidents since 1929. Not to say Republican havent had their moments.

The truth is presidents can cause short term swings in the market but the longterm rise and fall is not really affected by the President.

I’m specifically not talking about his time in Vietnam as a POW.

What did he do while in DC for you to hold him in such high regard?

I respect his service and sacrifice, but when do people consider what he actually did in while in office?

He specifically refuted those comments being made during that trip, which was the basis of The Atlantic article. Then he was asked if Trump had ever said those things and obviously couldn’t prove that. Then he wound things up with a re-statement of his personal contempt for Trump.

If Trump said them, then let him pay the price for it.

But as of now, there is no one that has come forward with verifiable information that he has, only feelings and opinions that he would be capable of saying those words.

Again, I have no defense of a man that actually said those things. And I personally can’t stand Trump the person. But I do find it quite ironic that Democrats and media are trying to prove the moral bankruptcy of Trump by fabricating lies.

Fun fact: Trump once brought a lawsuit where, to prevail, he would have needed to establish he was not the son of an orangutan. Trump dropped the lawsuit before ever establishing he is not the son of an orangutan. Hmmmm.

I’ve consistently been a social classic liberal and fiscal conservative. You might call me a hold over blue dog.
Who was the last president to fit that mold with a balanced budget and what not.
I wasn’t concerned with his extra marital crap either. And when the Republicans did there little which hunt investigations I was just as critical of their political tactics and waste of taxpayer money.

That’s the stupidity I deal with on here.
I didn’t leave the Democrats, they left me. My beliefs have not changed. How did the party of “Ask not what your country can do for you......” become the garbage we see today. I still feel for the Democrats even though I’m now an independent. I’m judging on the content of character these days as opposed to party affiliation. Trump is absolutely garbage. There’s not a whole lot to defend there. Outside of improving the 9th circuit court of appeals. So it should be easy for the Democrats to take the Pontus back. But the Democrats found a way to run someone worse......again.

He also said "I don't know who told the author that, but that was false."

The fact that somebody who absolutley abhors Trump denies that he said that says a lot. Just because he has a history of speaking his mind gives nobody the right to just completely make something like this up. But then again, that's really all we have come to expect anymore. One hit piece after another, it doesn't matter if its true or not and until there are real repercussions and accountability for the news media this will never end. All I ask for is unbiased reporting that is based on facts, not opinions and lies.
