On the church, it was some sort of issue with the port authority having tunnels or something underneath the church, and being resistant to allowing reconstruction because it would interfere with their operations... I dunno, it was something like that, and pretty lame and questionable even to a heathen like me. The church owns the land and should be able to rebuild without a government entity harassing them.
