An Early Look At 5 Potential SEC Upsets

Florida gets a bye week before our game after we play Georgia. The streak continues one more year.

They play Bama though before the bye. That's a good way to get beat-up physically and either demoralized (if they get beat) or a swollen head (if they win). Byes aren't always a good thing either - sometimes a team is better off playing while they're on a run or making steady progress. Other times they need to give players time to heal but I don't think they're always good.

Preparing for Florida will be the key and this year should be no different. The team that rushes for the most yards will win this game.

IMO, CWM's philosophy will be to run the ball effectively and keep the crowd out of the game. Limit the mistakes and keep the ball away from Tennessee's offense.

Tennessee's best chance to win is to score quickly and take advantage of UF mistakes with scoring opportunities. Limit Florida on their running game opportunities and force them to win with Driskel's passing game.

Shallow logic. Most recruits don't judge their college choices solely on won/loss records. If so, plenty of our players probably regret their decisions too.

I certainly wouldn't regret playing most of my games on tv and playing before +100k seven times a year ! :rock:

Me too. Most on here would probably consider me a "sunshine pumper". But I'm 100% NegaVol when it comes to the topic of beating Florida. I just won't believe it will happen until I actually see it. I guess being 4-17 the last 21 games vs the Gators has me a bit jaded.

Last year shoudl've been the year, but unfortunately we were in yet another state of change and starting over so we couldn't get the W. I mean, to think that Florida went 4-8 last year...mind-boggling. But Florida is definitely one of those games this year that you look at and say "maybe" when you're trying to make your guess at what our record will be.

Well, how many time have you heard/said "if only we played Florida a couple games later in the season". This year we get that. It's more time for the team to settle in and get things ironed out before the big game.

We will own Florida, Georgia, S.Carolina, Missouri, Vandy, and Kentucky. It is turning around, you will see. Butch is bringing in the recruits that turn programs around. When we do get it turned he will have a lot of 5 star guys wanting to play for Tennessee. We have a lot of pay back to hand out. And it wont be long before it starts.

You clearly have never read any of my posts about Butch for you to write this drivel. My accurate posts about the unbelievable struggles we've had even being competitive with our most important rival the last 21 years (4-17) has nothing to do with my belief in Butch. I would not be a bit surprised if we upset Fl. Past is past.
Hopefully we don't catch the injury bug this year. We injured more folks than received last season it seemed.....hopefully this season is no different.

I will believe it when I see it! The Gators could only win one game next year and it will be against the Vols! They always find a way to get it done no matter how bad they play the rest of the season.
