Anarchy In Portland

Rioters tore through Portland causing more than $500,000 worth of damage - but cops did NOTHING because woke new law stops them using pepper spray or tear gas: Angry residents ask 'Does that mean we are now like a lawless city?

  • Portland was rocked by a violent, 100-person protest that caused $500,000 in damage
  • Police stood idle as rioters destroyed the city, citing a new law that prevents law enforcement from using means of crowd control like pepper spray, tear gas or incapacitating projectiles
  • Antifa rioters tore through the city following a memorial for an activist killed in October 2019, whose mother organized the protest and called it a 'night of rage and anger'
About 100 self-proclaimed anarchists tore through Portland, setting dumpsters aflame, smashing windows and causing $500,000 in damage, but police stood idle because of a new state law that restricts how law enforcement can respond to riots.

The city just reached the ‘grim’ milestone of 1,000 shootings through 2021 in what has been a year of destructive protests, violent street clashes and a police staffing crisis.

As punishment we should send the 500 "bad actors" from Neyland on Saturday night, after getting coached up by UF fans on how to fill a water bottle with urine, to portland to handle the crowd control.

When social workers showed up to de-escalate the situation, they jumped back into their cars saying, “**** this!”

I'm sure the SEC could make suggestions for handling things like this ... and preventing them.

I have noticed a trend where democrats on this board never talk about this stuff. Yet, they wait until there is a racial angle they think they can expolit. Those seem to be the only incidents that get traction with them. Why is that?

I don't see discussion about homelessness or really anything related to the degradation of society or impact on local communities.

If I'm wrong, I'll gladly apologize. If I'm right then read into it what you want, why that is the case.

It is a four year cycle.
Racial and social degradation issues are are always saved for Presidential election years.
They will start ramping up in a couple more years reaching a zenith in the summer of 2024.
Of coarse there are a few localized spikes during mid-terms.
There are brilliant people managing campaigns that know what buttons to push and when.
Getting elected and then re-elected is the only concern of politician.
The country be damned.

I see your Samurai, and I raise you! Moment road rage driver pulls SWORD on VERY COOL motorist who then pulls RIFLE out of his trunk in crazy Portland stand-off

This is the dramatic moment a driver wields a sword at another motorist during a road rage stand-off in Oregon - only for the man he threatens to calmly pop his trunk and pull out a huge rifle in return.

A video of the confrontation, uploaded to Twitter this week, shows a man brandishing the samurai-like weapon while running towards the other driver as he is getting out of his car.

The hair-raising encounter was recorded in crime-ravaged Portland - where shootings and murders are soaring after the city's police department saw its budget cut by $15million last year as part of the woke city council's new defunding plan following the death of George Floyd.
