Top Democrat Jerry Nadler: Violent Antifa Riots In Portland Are ‘A Myth’
![]()
Democrat House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler claimed without evidence on Sunday that the violent Antifa riots in Portland were “a myth.”
Nadler’s remarks directly contradict video evidence that is widely available on social media and contradict what the Department of Homeland (DHS) says is happening in Portland.

It's Portland, an Antifa stronghold and this is their type of fight. To think they aren't involved and organizing the vast majority of this is being naive. This isn't BLM, in fact finding an African American in almost any photo of the protests/rioting is similar to a where's Waldo book.Yeah, maybe if DHS would be honest and just say, "We want to believe it's Antifa", rather than just insisting that it must be Antifa, because that's their narrative.

That's a fair point about journalistic approach but while we can't prove it we know who's pulling the strings and organizing. The reason we can't prove it is by design. It's still conjecture. When an article defers to "widely available video evidence on social media" that doesn't quite meet the burden of proof. Sure the title of the video may say "Antifa", but if they were being honest, they'd dispense with the assumptioms.

Exactly, because Antifa is at it's core an anarchist movement. They only recognize heirarchy they willingly submit to.I'm not sure how many strings get pulled by Antifa as an organization. Some may just be angry bored kids etc.. But I'm nearly positive some of the worst actors would privately claim some affiliation to Antifa
