I wasn’t there, but in 95 I was sitting in the end zone at legion field with my buddy and about a dozen other it fans, and we had cups of beer thrown on us multiple times during that game. I was also at Bryant Denny stadium in 97 and had the same thing happen there. In both instances I saw their fans flipping off our players and throwing food debris at them. I don’t condone stupid bull behavior from anyone. I’ll never go back to Alabama nor to Florida because they are equally as disgusting of a fan base.

If this happened, his kid works for the AD. They will find and punish whoever did it if it occurred and was intentional.

I’m not above thinking some of our idiot fans are dumb enough to pull something like this but this feels like bs to make Tennessee look bad.

A couple of questions need answered here. Was the beer in a bottle, if yes then that leans hard to intentional. If no, it was in a cup then that leans more to accidental during the celebrations.

The bigger question is: you are on staff, you know just like everyone else in that stadium the field is getting rushed after a Vols win so why the hell didn’t you make prior arrangements for your wheelchair bound Dad and your family to be in a safer place to watch the end of the game?

Something could probably have been prearranged with ushers, security or even your own family members to move your Dads location late in the 4th.

They failed to add Georgia. We were there the year we won the NC. My sister wore orange as did my wife and I. Sister's husband wore Georgia colors. That did not keep them from throwing drinks on us. I never go back to that sheathole.

Mr. Goode himself says “I don’t know if it was meant for me or my family because we were sitting in the Tennessee section”. So why is the Tuscaloosa paper writing an article about it?

Alabama fans seem to be doing anything they can to take the shine off the victory.

First
I dont drink beer in the stadium. Who can afford it?
Second
You obviously dont know.me to make such an accusation..
Third
I struggle to believe that anyone dumped beer intentionally on a man in a wheel chair.
Fourth
In this world of comstant video..i also struggle to belive no one would have got some of the abuse on video

I apologize for hurting your feelings by pointing out it was dumb to post this.

But when i clicked the link the bs meter pegged and it amazes me that a semi intelligent person didnt get the same vibe immediately.

As a host of other posters have pointed out, he likely had beer spilled on him and not poured. That is not a large leap of faith nor does it take very much deductive ability to think that is very very likely what happened and then roll ones eyes and forget about this very inflammatory poorly written story.

Obviously your bs meter and deductive reasoning were in the shop when you made the decision to post this. Its okay though, we all have our off days
