And now this….

I apologize for hurting your feelings by pointing out it was dumb to post this.

But when i clicked the link the bs meter pegged and it amazes me that a semi intelligent person didnt get the same vibe immediately.

As a host of other posters have pointed out, he likely had beer spilled on him and not poured. That is not a large leap of faith nor does it take very much deductive ability to think that is very very likely what happened and then roll ones eyes and forget about this very inflammatory poorly written story.

Obviously your bs meter and deductive reasoning were in the shop when you made the decision to post this. Its okay though, we all have our off days
Dude. I posted without comment. You’re letting your assumptions take you to some wrong places.

His statement:

"I don't advocate violence but I had someone threw their drink all over me at the end of the game. I don't know if it was meant for me or my family because we were sitting in the Tennessee section with Bama gear on. But the tickets were compliments of my son Roman who's the Tennessee staff. A big " Thank You " to the usher who escorted us out."

Agree with above posters. This was most likely unintentional. During the immediate post game jubilation this could have happened to anybody.

I was sitting in X2 with my 17 year old son. After the FG, we both got to split wearing what remained of someone’s beer from probably 10 rows behind us. I saw others throwing what was in their hands up in excitement (I might have thrown my own inadvertently but I was too nervous to drink during the game - didn’t want to get up and go to the restroom!)

Big deal. It happens. We went on down and celebrated with everyone else, wearing someone else’s overpriced beer. I’m sure we weren’t targeted, sure it was a thoughtless act, but really….who cares?

Unless someone came over and dumped it over this gentleman or purposely targeted him, it’s unfortunate but far from scandalous. This seems like another thinly veiled attempt to frame the loss on the part of Alabama and its fans.

Now decking a female fan on the other hand is something to get up in the air about.

Did they throw the drink or spill the drink? There are a lot of reasons someone could end up wet during that celebration many of them not malicious. I hope it wasnt intentional but there is no way to know without more info.

This is awful if true. However, there are idiot fans everywhere. Bama fans are acting like this is strictly a UT deal. They’re clinging to anything they can after that loss. “Bad refs, we played as bad as we could, UT fans are classless” etc. I get being disappointed but they have been whining non stop ever since the loss. This one hurt them bad.

Someone could have jumped up and down and spilled a drink.. I have done it before, not being mean, but clumsy 😂 or intoxicated..

The University of Alabama is to the college football world what the stereotypical millennial is to the workplace.....never look in the mirror for a problem always some outside unfairness causing their woes...

Calm down grandpa, millennials are in their 30s and early 40s now. You’ve been complaining about them for so long you didn’t notice that they make up the majority of small business owners now.

He changed at halftime. But this is what I find funny.

He acknowledges that the actions of a few don’t define an entire fan base but still takes to social media to complain about getting hit with a drink during the storming of the field celebration. It’s called “pandemonium” for a reason. Doubt it was an instance of someone attempting to harm or humiliate a disabled person.

More like someone accidently spilling their drink during the rush. I have had drinks accidently spilled on me before at a ball game, just an accident imo if it happened at all.

You have a son who works on the Tennessee staff and you are for Bama?

I doubt anyone intentionally threw a beer at a dude in a wheelchair… people were so excited at the end of the game, someone probably threw their hands up (beer included) in celebration and just splashed beer on everyone around them. It happens. 🤷🏻

I was not there, but I would imagine there were a lot of drinks being throwed up in the air on purpose, not with the intent of pouring them on someone, but just celebrating.

Like some have already said it was likely unintentional. 102k there. Probably 90k got wet when the ball went through the uprights. Shame on him for making it bigger than what it was. Literally the definition of "fake news". Did he technically lie? No. Did he frame the story to misrepresent the actual truth? Probably. Is that lying? Might as well be.

I mean you’re going to have some idiots no matter where you’re at with over 100K grouped together. I sit right beside the stairs and every game there are countless drunks tripping, spilling their beer everywhere and even slipping and sitting in the beer. This one guy accidentally spilled his entire $14 beer can all over the guy in front of him during the Bama game. I know they make a killing off alcohol sales, but it isn’t needed in college athletics

Fan behavior is so much worse with alcohol.

Not so fast, I am one. Read more carefully…. I said stereotypical millennials. I am one of the older ones and there is some truth to the stereotype with the younger ones.

My gawd. I've never seen so much whining and complaining from a losing team in all my life. Bama fans are used to winning ALL THE DAM* TIME." You lost a game. Deal with it. Writing letters to the sec...radio hosts complaining about the refs...players complaining...etc. etc etc. They act like its their birthright to NEVER lose a game. They are losing their friggin minds. Geez. Chill out Bama fans. You lost. It happens. Now shut up.

So if you are in the handicapped seating and have a drink thrown at you, that means all the Tennessee fans in front of you are getting doused.********-detector-off-the-scale.gif

Exactly what I was thinking! Escorted out why???
All the UT fans were celebrating and storming the field and left you as clear of a path to the exit as Hyatt had to the end zone all game.
