And Why is TCU ranked ahead of Vols in the CFP Poll?

There’s no precedent for 8 or 12 jumping 5 with two games to go. The radio talk drama doesn’t change math, ratings, or money. If the Vols win the last two games convincingly, the only one loss teams that can keep them out are UM or OSU. They actually have the sway to stay. No PAC 10 team will catch us if we take care of business.
Watch and see if the committee moves USC to #6 next week.

They dominated Texas. Impressive performance. Showed no weaknesses. Vols/Horned Frogs would be a great game, but not much chance of that happening. I predict the final 4 will be UGA, OSU, TCU, VOLS in that order.

No, they didn't. They scored 17 points and won by 7 points against a texas team with an absolutely terrible offense. In what universe is that dominance?

It doesn’t matter that there isn’t precedent. A 12-1 University of Southern California isn’t getting left out of the playoffs.

They will have to move up as other teams either lose or have wins that are not impressive. Or they will have to beat a ranked team impressively. USC lost to the only team that is ranked that they have played (Utah). They have no wins over any teams that are ranked. UCLA and Notre Dame give them that opportunity if both continue winning.

Boys and girls , TN ain’t getting in the playoffs. Not because they don’t deserve it , it’s because they are truly disliked . As far as TCU and Oregon , they are gonna find a way to win tonight . Oregon will jump TN with a win sadly . It’s all about the media darlings .
Good call on Oregon. Take a seat champ.

TCU will probably still be number 4, just because they are undefeated - but they did not look impressive.

If this was truly based on who the best teams are - the choice would be between UGA, OSU, TN and Michigan and maybe LSU - though they did not look as impressive this week as they did last week.

If you can't see that they're setting up a 1-loss USC to make the playoff then I can't help you.
I don’t get why they would do that… USC has about 42 fans in their stadium on average. This isn’t the USC from the early 2000s. The west coast doesn’t care about college football. If the committee cares about ratings and $$$, then UT is the obvious choice. Or even Clemson. Or heck… the loser of the OSU/Michigan game would be a better draw. I don’t get putting USC in the playoffs.

How can Cumbie and Sark not find a way to score points? Crazy.

Ewers looked terrible. TCU deserves a spot if they win all their games but if we played them we win by 20. Big 12 is awful

This. It’s hard to overstate the TV ratings of the B10 in major markets.

They do not deserve anything but a New Years Day matchup with Bama. And even with opt outs, Bama would still boat race them.

Ucla has a better resume than USC. USC doesn’t have a ranked win.
Don’t they play each other at the end of the season? I looked at USC remaining schedule earlier this week and seems like I saw all ranked opponents. If they win those and the PAC 12 championship they’ll have some momentum

USC has not beaten a ranked team. USC really needed Oregon to win.
They haven't beaten a ranked team yet but they are #8 right now and their last three games will be against ranked teams.

I am not advocating for USC to be in the playoff, I am saying that I don't think they would be left out if they finish with one loss.

Just cause they're undefeated. After this week, the scenario we're looking at would be moving in to the 4 spot after Mich-OSU game forces someone out. FWIW, I truly think we would beat TCU and we'll have beat two other top ten teams in LSU and Bama.
