USC or Oregon will be playing in the Rose Bowl. They haven't beaten a ranked team yet but they are #8 right now and their last three games will be against ranked teams.
I am not advocating for USC to be in the playoff, I am saying that I don't think they would be left out if they finish with one loss.
Isn’t the goal to find the best team? I know ratings play a role but they aren’t everything. Not even the main thingIf the committee would play it smart with their voting, they could have 4 big market teams in the playoffs.
1. Georgia
2. Ohio State
3. Michigan
4. TN
Time to tell TCU and their small market to go and hop off.
Only if we’re in the 3 spot. Neither of them would have the wins we do and both have a worse loss. But they could get the 4 spot if we’re the 3. It would be between them and Clemson most likely. I’m assuming a TCU loss.A 12-1 USC is getting in the playoff. A 12-1 UCLA May as well. A 1-loss Michigan isn’t getting in, no matter how close the loss to OSU is. They don’t have the resume.
