And Why is TCU ranked ahead of Vols in the CFP Poll?

And we'll see.... I think a 1 loss (to the #1 team and wins over 2 top 10 teams) will mean more than an undefeated team that has struggled to be so (and only has wins over 15th or lower ranked teams).

Being the champion of a s****y conference doesn't mean more than being the 1 loss runner up in a competitive conference

Otherwise, the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (6-1 conf and 9-1 overall) would be in the discussion..... but they aren't

Is Coastal Carolina part of the power 5?

Soooo...I looked at the TCU schedule and game results to date.
C'mon folks...I mean, after all...they put a "Big Orange Style" butt whoopin' on Tarleton State...!!! ROTFLMAO...!!!
Most of their other games were "managed to get past..." kind of wins, and NO Top 5 wins.
I don't get it either.

Watching them against Texas and have watched them several times this season and they are not even comparable to Tennessee!
Don"t worry about it. Michigan and Ohio State play each other. Tennessee wins their last two games they will be in the top four. Only loss for Tennessee is to number one Georgia. Nobody has a better record than Tennessee against top teams.

were you really on the floor laughing your a$$ off or was that just an expression of amazement?

After this weekend: TN once again has the 2 best wins of the season.

I watched the TCU/Texas and Wash/Oregon game, and if that is the top of the Big 12...... that conference is trash.

TCU will get boat raced by 40 to whoever they were to play in the playoff

TCU is doing just enough. But if they run the table, it’s going to hard to keep them out. USC is who concerns me.

They aren’t setting up anything but a 1-loss USC would have a good resume

Their resume is horrid right now...lost to the only ranked team they played....

Now....beat UCLA and Oregon and that might mean something....but neither of those will be top 10 teams when the CFP teams are set.....

We are now at the point that as long as we win out, we should be okay....but win out with getting style points....a squeeker vs. SC will hurt our chances drastically.

I struggled through that game and my thought was how does TX have any wins and just how bad is there back up.
TX Defense came to play though and tried to win the game themselves in spite of the offense

TV ratings do not want two teams from the same area if it can be justified. They will want a WC team, an SEC team, a Big 10 team, and a Big 12 team for ideal ratings. If they can find a way to justify that, they will do it. If TCU is undefeated at the end, they'll be in. The real threat to us is both that outcome and a big TV market team like USC.
