Andrew Gribble reporting Pearl committed violations in Sept and March

TOS is reporting that the NCAA violation in the month of March was a "current player" receiving extra tickets for the UT-Kentucky game at TBA earlier this month. It also says that the matters were handled internally and the NCAA was notified of this secondary violation..

How dumb do they have to be?? Knowing that our program is about to get hammered and knowing that the whole staff was on a short leash and they just do this like its no big deal. I think we all might look back and be glad Pearl is gone in the long run because it looks like he was just doing whatever he wanted to and thought he could get by with it..

I have been a season ticket holder for 40 years. Tennessee had not had a competent coach
since Ray Mears until they hired Bruce. The years with Ernie and Bernie and the years with Bruce are the only exciting seasons that UT basketball fans have had in the last 40 years. His excellance in coaching along with his charisma in promoting UT basketball and his community service to Knoxville and East Tennessee will never again be matched by a coach at UT. It took me 40 years to see a coach take UT from the accomplishments of Ray Mears to the heights that Pearl achieved. Fans should get ready for a long chain of incompetent coaches for the next 40 years. UT needs to break the black curtains out of storage, because they will need them.
There are many trolls and posers on this forum who live to bash Pearl and really do anything else they can to hurt the UT program.
One such poser talked about the joy it gave him to see Pearl eviscerated. Such comments say nothing about Pearl, but they say a great deal about the people who make them. These empty lived persons have my profound sympathy

Really misinformed. Pearl dug his own grave; you need to just move on. No one on here wants to see the program fail; in fact, most of the "trolls" are the only ones who have enough faith in the program that we can hire a good coach. You seem to be like a lot of other people; you put Pearl ahead of the program.

Also, if there wasn't a back issue, as you admit, why did UT allow everyone, including the folks covering the game to think otherwise?

I knew he was out for two games and it wasn't because of his back. When you say "UT allow", I'm not sure who that covers. I don't know if there was a valid reason for putting that out there or something else was going on. It's why I wonder if this happens more than we know.

I think Katz is confusing this with the ticket deal. I think the ticket deal is the one they are using as further evidence, and I think that is to help the fan base see the admin side a bit more. Let's be honest, up until most of this came out everyone thought MH was an idiot. When you look at all the facts, that doesn't jive. So, if UT is using the BW issue as the "March incident" then from what I know that is quite disingenuous. If it's the ticket thing, then that goes better with the overall story.
