My friend went out in Phoenix last night. This is what she said:

"My wife and I decided to hit the streets in Phoenix last night and join in the fight for police reform. It started off very peaceful and amazing! But things took a turn when the police were tired of us protesting peacefully. They declared it an unlawful assembly (for no reason) and began using force to break up the protestors. My wife, nephew and I plus two other girls who were trying to leave the area and got assaulted with rubber bullets, tear gas, and flash bangs. They used tear gas to get us out from behind the pole we were using for shelter, and then started shooting directly at us (while we had our hands raised, telling them we were trying to leave). Where we were standing—No one was looting. No one was rioting. But we were certainly assaulted by those officers. That is NOT FREEDOM!"

No, not really. At this point with how everything is going down why would you go? The peaceful protest are over, this isn't about the tragedy of Floyd anymore

It appears they had a small fire for marshmallows and then went home. Maybe a fairly quiet night in DC.

My guess is the realization they have been deemed terrorists, along with the people of communities actively policing their neighborhoods, both suburban and urban have them rethinking their tactics.

They are a group of opportunity, not particularly brave. They depend on others creating the cover they need to operate and shrink back into the crowds.
