Another bad apple (George Floyd case)

So your "friends" were trying to comply with police requests and leave the area, only to be shot at? So they found shelter behind a pole, but were subsequently smoked out with teargas? Then, after all of this, they raised their hands and pleaded with police while receiving direct fire?

Yeah, your friends are lying.

I've seen the video. We can't see that they have their hands up, but I think it will confirm most things. I don't want to post her facebook video because she'll lose anonymity, so I'll ask her for her video.

Not that it will change anybody's minds. $1,000 says you guys take the video and still find a way to try to discredit her, but everybody else will see how stupid y'all are, so I wanna post it.

No, I certainly dont.

But we seem to have a lot of "stop the racism" signs in these protests. Why? Are they assigning intent with no way of knowing?

Some people are. It doesn't have to be about race for this to be one of the largest problems in America. Police brutality is out of control and it disproportionately hits blacks for a variety of reasons (let's say racism isn't even one of them). The war on drugs needs to be ended. Qualified immunity needs to be ended. If people are pushing for these good changes because they think Chauvin is racist, who cares? He's a murderer and this would be a good result, so why should anybody be hung up on the question of whether or not Chauvin is a racist? **** him

Oh I dont care. Too many do, and it is a problem.

Just as you started this rant focused on skin color and police brutality. It is tattooed in your mindset.

Brutality by those in charge is unacceptable and who it happens to is irrelevant. Wrong is wrong, it doesnt need segmentation.

To you. You don't get to tell other people why they do what they do. It just is what it is, regardless of your judgment.

No idea why it has to be peaceful to be about Floyd, and I doubt you have a good reason for concluding that.

You are correct . There’s also zero sympathy when those same violent , looting , stealing , burning , destructive ones get their heads cracked open , ran over , shot by the cops or citizens for being dumb asses . None .

I can't promise that I won't attempt to "discredit" something if I truly feel that the video footage does not match with the provided account of the situation, but I give you my word that I'll try my hardest to avoid remixing said footage with Yakety Sax.

These protests happen to some extent every time a black man is killed unjustly by police and we always know their name. That is evidence it isn't all that widespread.

I would love to agree that a black guy dying from police brutality every couple years is one of our biggest problems, but that is a joke.

It does have some obvious advantages as a problem. It is vague enough most activists won't need to be bothered to think up any solutions, and it requires zero individual responsibility to blame your problems on the big bad government.

But no serious person can say police brutality is even a top 5 problem in the black community, much less the community at large.

I'd rather misunderstand it as racism than be more concerned with the "segmentation" than brutality.

Yeah? Who was the black lady just killed in the wrong house no-knock raid? Quick! Look it up so you can maintain this totally absurd point.

Why can't violent protesters be genuinely protesting Floyd's death and brutality? I gotta hear this explanation.

Does stealing that 64 inch flat screen TV get justice for George Floyd? What about vandalizing the drug store hundreds of miles away from where Floyd was killed? What does that have to do with racism and police brutality? These are crimes, not protests.

Is police brutality out of control or is that a narrative we are being fed? I do agree that we should end most but not all of the war on drugs.

It is out of control on blacks. That is the fed narrative.
Yeah I know.... it is time Americans stand up and quit allowing the media to manipulate us..... some guy shared media headlines when people protested the shut down versus the headlines for protestors.... it was stunning and crazy how different the narrative they was feeding everyone.

Is this about Floyd?

What about this?

Floyd?

This, this is about Floyd

This is about Floyd

But you, you want to cheer on your friend who was clearly breaking the laws set and blame the police. That creates divide. Now I'm going to give your ignorant a$$ the last word because I know you can't resist, your motives are clear.

The NBA player's tweet. That is funny as hail! You can't make this stuff up. That is exactly what I said the liberals would do. All people that promote unprovoked violence eventually find themselves in the irony of it all. ROFLMAO!

So to be clear, if the only rioting someone does is burn a police car, do you think they can't say it was for justice for Floyd or in protest of brutality?

There is no such thing as violent protesters, they are rioters. And once they start destroying/stealing private property they are criminals and it is no longer about Floyd it's about themselves.

If it's not peaceful it's not a protest, it's a riot.

How is a riot not a protest? WTF are you smoking? Why do people say "peaceful protest". If it's inherently peaceful, then this is redundant. Why do they say "violent protest"? You telling me that's an oxymoron? Way to think this one through.
