Police: Rioters Set Fire to Home with Child Inside, Then Block Firefighters

The chief of the Richmond, Virginia, police department said Sunday that rioters set fire to a multi-family home with a child inside while blocking access for firefighters to get through to save the child.

“One incident that is particularly poignant, that truly illustrates the seriousness of the issues we’re facing,” Chief Will Smith told reporters. “Protesters intentionally set fire to an occupied building on [West] Broad Street. This is not the only occupied building that has been set fire to in the last two days.”

Then what the hell have you been going back and forth with Hog about? For example:

It's really dumb so I don't blame you for not understanding. Hog is saying that rioting is not a form of protest. I am saying that it is. Not that it's a valid form, but that it is a form. He got caught saying something stupid and has quadrupled down. He says that if you riot, you are not a protester. And if you are a protester, then you are not a rioter. There is no such thing as peaceful protest or violent protest. The former is redundant and the latter is an oxymoron. He is pretending to believe all this so he doesn't have to nut up and say, "I misspoke"

President Obama and Joe Biden have both posted about and discussed plans they have to combat the race problems here in America.

Why didn’t they do any of these plans from 2009-2017?
Why would they? When this happened during the Obama administration the media framed it as problem with local law enforcement. Now? It's Trump fault.

Smacks of semantics. I think it's easy to understand his (and others) desire for demarcation. There are too many good people (some of America's finest actually) that have been "protestors" and they deserve better than to be lumped into that "other" group. If you want to put a face on it here's a good place to start.

On one side you had a cop and on the other side you have people that deserve a much more pejorative term than "protestors" and between the two are people that deserve the term, with honor. Maybe you're set on staunchly defending your definitional take but c'mon man, you have to see what the point is in trying to make that separation.

And I'll say outright "looters" don't deserve to be even in the discussion regardless of one's stance on the above definitional issues. Anyone that sets about personal profit via criminal action under the shield of what might have been at least originally based on a legit "protest" is simply the worst form of thief. (IMO anyway)

That's exactly what it is. If his objective was to demarcate, then he would call them "violent protesters". He's not specifying what they are, he's trying to say they aren't something that they are.

New York City Lawyers who 'threw Molotov cocktails at an empty NYPD van tried to pass out firebombs to protesters' during violent George Floyd demonstrations in Brooklyn

Two Brooklyn lawyers who were charged for allegedly tossing a Molotov cocktail into a New York Police Department vehicle early Saturday morning were also trying to pass out firebombs to other George Floyd demonstrators, federal authorities said Monday.

Colinford Mattis, 32, a corporate attorney with Pryor Cashman, and attorney Urooj Rahman, 31, allegedly threw the bomb into an empty police cruiser that was parked outside the 88th Precinct station house in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, cops say.

It was revealed on Monday that Mattis and Rahman also attempted to pass out the incendiary devices to others who were at the protest.

According to the New York Post, a bystander told authorities that Rahman 'tried to distribute Molotov cocktails to the witness and others so that those individuals could likewise use the incendiary devices in furtherance of more destruction and violence'.

Someone should have tossed a match in her window.

Why not? If this happens there will be no more reason to riot or be pulled over for breaking the law. All things good in life will be restored. I say we do it.

What would be the allocations? Do they trace lineages or will be flat like with the COVID-19 stimulus? No land or mule? Do other minority groups get it to if they claim black or do they fend for their own reparations? How about if you just came from Africa in the 90's? If we do one time payments can we get less? How do we decide the reparations inheritance?

Minnesota governor DEMOBILIZES the National Guard but says he will extend curfew for another two days amid ongoing George Floyd protests

Minnesota Gov Tim Walz has extended a curfew in the Twin Cities for another two days and says the state's National Guard will be demobilized amid ongoing George Floyd protests in the state.

Minneapolis has been the center of protests - some peaceful, some violent - for days over the death of Floyd, a handcuffed black man who was killed on May 25 after white Minneapolis officer, Derek Chauvin, 44, pressed a knee into Floyd's neck as he pleaded for air and cried 'I can't breathe'.

The governor is a clueless buffoon. I will apologize on this board if tonight goes will for that state.
