Here you go lumping them all in with the opportunist looters again. You conveniently see it however you want to see it. They don't look like actual protesters because you do not want to seem them that way. They're all illegitimate to you, and you're not going to change your mind to something more reasonable regardless of the reality that protesters are behaving in a variety of different ways for a variety of different reasons. It's so obvious and it takes an absolute caveman to continuously try to simplify it to the level you're aiming for.

Donald Trump told governors during a video conference from the Situation Room on Monday that they are 'weak' and need to 'dominate' cities ravaged by riots or they will look like 'jerks.'

'You have to dominate, if you don't dominate you're wasting your time. They're going to run over you, you're going to look like a bunch of jerks. You have to dominate,' audio of the call revealed.

'The only time it's successful is when you're weak and most of you are weak,' he added, CNN reported, claiming that if governors and local leaders were more tough on rioters, there would be less destruction of their major cities.

'You've got to arrest people, you have to track people, you have to put them in jail for 10 years and you'll never see this stuff again,' Trump said during the 55-minute call. 'We're doing it in Washington, D.C. We're going to do something that people haven't seen before.'

We've called out our National Guard and our State Police, but the rhetoric that's coming out of the White House is making it worse,' Pritzker said, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

Trump hit back saying: 'OK, well thank you very much, J.B. I don't like your rhetoric very much either because I watched your response to coronavirus, and I don't like your rhetoric either. I think you could have done a much better job, frankly.'

Officials Say Man Killed In Louisville After Protesters Fire On Police, National Guard

The Kentucky State Police is investigating a man’s death after protesters exchanged gunfire with police and National Guard officers in Louisville.

Gov. Andy Beshear announced the investigation on Monday after the man was killed earlier that morning. Beshear did not name the victim, though local reports and social media posts identify the dead man David McAtee, the owner of a popular barbecue joint, according to the Louisville Courier-Journal.

“Officers and soldiers began to clear the lot and at some point were shot at,” Conrad said on Monday. “Both LMPD and National Guard members returned fire.”

City leaders announce curfew for Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Mayor Jim Strickland announced the city of Memphis will implementing a 10 p.m. curfew beginning Monday night.

The announcement following a peaceful protest Sunday night that later turned into a standoff with law enforcement downtown, and some acts of vandalism in the city.

The curfew will be from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. If you are out, you could be arrested. There is an exception for essential workers and people with medical emergencies.

In all 31 people were arrested overnight in Memphis. Police said 44 people had been arrested since Wednesday in connection with protest events.

Police said 10 businesses had been vandalized, three police cars damaged, and shots were fired at three officers since Wednesday.

“Last night we saw things take a turn for the worst,” Strickland said, noting businesses vandalized, officers shot at.

Memphis Police Director Mike Rallings said the Tennessee National Guard is already operating in Memphis. He released the following statement on Facebook on Monday:

Reports of vandalism, shootings across Memphis after night of unrest

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police responded to several incidents overnight including the vandalism of several businesses and shootings.

One group decided to loot the Marathon gas station at Poplar Avenue and Danny Thomas. Video from the scene showed some people struggling to keep the looters out of the business, but they were not successful.

The glass doors at Southland Mall in Whitehaven were also smashed overnight, but it’s unclear if anyone was able to get inside.

In the downtown area, Winfield’s Shoe store at North Main and Madison and a Walgreens were also damaged.

Two Walmarts – one on Elvis Presley and the other on Winchester – were burglarized during separate incidents overnight. JeVonte Broady, Jamal Johnson, Kendall Anderson and Xavian Lott were all arrested and charged.

One group of protesters got on I-55 from E.H. Crump Boulevard and began walking down the interstate, spraying signs and at one point even crossing a fence into a neighborhood.

The protestors then made their way to Riverside Drive. It was there that law enforcement used mace and tear gas when someone breached the line.

The National Guard was also seen in Downtown Memphis.

Overnight, officers also responded to several shooting scenes. One was at the corner of Elvis Presley and Raines. An employee at that location said a number of shots were fired as people drove through the parking lot overnight.

An officer was shot at multiple times after responding to a burglary call in the 4000 block of Elvis Presley Boulevard. His vehicle was struck several times, but he was not injured.

There was another shooting at 1198 Lamar. That incident sent one person to the hospital.

Mid-American Pawn Shop at 3524 Park Avenue was also burglarized overnight, with crooks stealing ammunition and jewelry. It’s believed that none of the weapons were stolen.
