Since when does a labor contract overrule the law? You're full of it.As petty as this sounds, people have to understand that this officer is a member of the police union. There is protocol to follow in bringing charges, especially murder, against an officer. No matter what video evidence was out. He was always going to get arrested and charged. And it was always going to be in the manner that is specified in the labor contract.

Jesus slow down and breathe and look at my posts in this thread about the officers actions. So with 3 cops holding him down, handcuffed, and the murderer kneeing his throat for 7 minutes is justified in your eyes? He was no threat at all and was not moving. Your argument is pathetic. I for one to support the police and know not all cops are bad, but this guy is a POS and his actions were awful. End of story.
The very end of the video clearly says they were asked to move and did not. I guess you missed that one. Are there bad cops and idiot cops? Sure. That doesn’t mean the same doesn’t also apply to CNN reporters trying to make news when they didn’t obey law enforcement orders.
This is total bullsh*t as someone edited the last part of the video out where the CNN reporter says on air that the crew was told to move and didn’t. Funny how that happens. But, by all means, you go on making assumptions from small video clips.
Just like with everyone else....go watch the full video. The reporters clearly, very clearly, asked where the police wanted them and they would go. Literally the next thing that happens is they are put in handcuffs. If they really didn't obey orders we would know about it by now. The only thing you and other have is conjecture to get to the narrative you want. I don't like CNN either, but my God, the police were 100% in the wrong here. It is not hard to see.
