Another bad apple (George Floyd case)

Just like with everyone else....go watch the full video. The reporters clearly, very clearly, asked where the police wanted them and they would go. Literally the next thing that happens is they are put in handcuffs. If they really didn't obey orders we would know about it by now. The only thing you and other have is conjecture to get to the narrative you want. I don't like CNN either, but my God, the police were 100% in the wrong here. It is not hard to see.
Seriously. Were you there? No. You’re making assumptions off a video clip and what’s crazy is the CNN guy literally says at the end that they were told exactly why the crew was arrested but yet you persist that the cops were lying. Sure, they arrested CNN people for no reason. That makes more sense. Did you eat paint chips as a kid?

He died from positional asphyxiation due to excited delirium which is common among drug addicts with underlying conditions. Being “hogtied” as you suggest would’ve caused the same thing that this idiot officer did
I should apply for medical examiner

‘This Is Mostly A Protest’: MSNBC’s Ali Velshi Says Riots Aren’t Unruly As Building Burns Behind Him

Screen-Shot-2020-05-29-at-8.36.55-AM-e1590755865220.png

MSNBC journalist Ali Velshi claimed the Minneapolis riots were “not, generally speaking, unruly” Thursday as the building behind him was engulfed in flames.

During the third day of increasingly unruly riots, Velshi began by claiming the scene “looked a lot calmer than yesterday” throughout much of the day. The journalist then said there were “four fires” burning nearby – with one directly behind him – before claiming that the riots were just peaceful protests.

“I want to be clear on how I characterize this,” Velshi said in front of a burning building. “This is mostly a protest. It is not, generally speaking, unruly but fires have been started and this crowd is relishing that.” (RELATED: CNN Correspondent Arrested Live On-Air During Minneapolis Riots)

Since when does a labor contract overrule the law? You're full of it.

Not likely. Officers are not arrested immediately. The Mayor up there even stated this was the fastest they've ever arrested and charged and officer.

If the family gets a 1st degree murder charge like they want then they can enjoy watching Chauvin walk and fairly easily. A public defender could likely get him acquitted on 1st degree murder charges.

It doesn't matter. All contributed to his death, however, remove the knee from his neck and, amazingly he's still alive. So what was the proximate cause?
True, but this is the defense setting groundwork for lesser charges. There is a reason Johnnie Cochran types are very successful.

You would complain no matter what Trump said on the matter.

Nope. A couple sentence statement calling for peaceful protests and justice due process would have been just fine. Which, btw, is what everybody in this thread would be fine with.

To get first degree murder they would have to prove it was premeditated, there is no shot in hell to prove that. You would think their representation could explain that to them

Don’t listen to rdj. The reason for the arrest is in the video, well the one back on page 38 anyway, not the one valley girl posted from YouTube. That one conveniently cuts off.

Yet everyone through the chain of command, up to and including the Governor, has said it shouldn't have happened and was not justified. But carry on with your conjecture narrative that is counter to the actual video.

People only hear what they want to hear and disregard the rest.

Paraphrase from "The Boxer" -Simon/Garfunkel.

Actually, genius, you’re the one contradicting the video. That’s what blows my mind, you’re acting like the last 30 seconds never happened.

The cognitive dissonance and stupidity here is impressive.

I wasn't there, but I'm referring to the video to form an opinion of what happened, you are referring to what you think happened for which there is no evidence.

Hell - the police actually admitted the mistake themselves in a released statement that said the reporters were released once their credentials were verified. Jesus.

Nope, wrong again. Go watch the ENTIRE video Einstein. The reporter very clearly states "I got you, where do you want us and we will go", then are arrested. There was no reason at all to arrest them. None. Zilch. Zero. The police even admitted as such after the fact.

Post that link where the police admitted to not telling them to move and subsequently arresting them for not doing so.

Guess the medical examiner agrees with me
You're full of crap. The guy was dead when the ambulance picked him up, the cops killed him and they need to pay for murdering a citizen just like they have arrested other people for doing.
If cops are so fearful for their lives that they need to kill people for trying to pass a xeroxed copy of a $20 bill they need to find another profession.

CNN crew released from police custody after they were arrested live on air in Minneapolis - CNN

You are hung up on this:

Police told the crew they were being detained because they were told to move and didn't, one member of the CNN crew relayed to the network.

This is exactly what the reporter said when confronted initially:

"We can move back to where you like. We are live on the air here. ... Put us back where you want us. We are getting out of your way -- wherever you want us (we'll) get out of your way.....We were just getting out of your way when you were advancing through the intersection," "

The police released this statement:

"In the course of clearing the streets and restoring order at Lake Street and Snelling Avenue, four people were arrested by State Patrol troopers, including three members of a CNN crew. The three were released once they were confirmed to be members of the media."

So obviously, because they were members of the media they had a right to be there, otherwise, they would still be in custody.

GTFO with your nonsense.

There’s a lot to unpack here:
-he may have been dead then or not. I don’t know I didn’t read his medical chart; I do know that the medical examiner has stated there were no injuries to neck, throat area and that drug usage and underlying health issues was the cause of death which I had obviously predicted because of my experience
-the officer is being charged and I’m ok with that because I still think he was violating policy
-the officer if found guilty killed him out of negligence and stupidity not of fear
-they were perfectly in order to arrest him for a he counterfeit bill and his being so high
