Another bad apple (George Floyd case)

CNN crew released from police custody after they were arrested live on air in Minneapolis - CNN

You are hung up on this:

This is exactly what the reporter said when confronted initially:

The police released this statement:

So obviously, because they were members of the media they had a right to be there, otherwise, they would still be in custody.

GTFO with your nonsense.
So what I read is you lied about the cops saying they were wrong to arrest them. Color me shocked.

Read that statement from the cops again. If they weren't wrong, they wouldn't have released them.

I'm not surprised you're still confused, or for that matter, even addressing my reply to your BS with actual facts of what happened, live, on camera.

Look, I’m not saying it was right idea to arrest them. I agree it was unnecessary but it does seem like they may have had some type of warning and didn’t comply. Should the next step have been arrest with little to no communication? Not in my opinion but, if they were warned as was clearly conveyed by CNN during the video, then the cops were just following through on that warning.

You’re reading into that though. Just because they were released doesn’t mean they were wrongfully detained.

THEY LITERALLY ASKED WHERE THEY NEEDED TO GO.

It was the very definition of trying to comply!

You can believe it "seemed" like whatever you want. The simple fact of the matter that wasn't what it "actually" was.

He’s just can’t read between the lines of that statement and is basing his views on 100% what the liberal governors “apology” to CNN is
That and the fact they were released after being confirmed as news reporters. Cops certainly aren’t infallible and I’ve had cops wrongfully accuse me and even wrongfully arrest me before but there’s not clear evidence of either in this case. Maybe the cops are lying but we sure can’t tell from a snippet of video.

There’s a lot to unpack here:
-he may have been dead then or not. I don’t know I didn’t read his medical chart; I do know that the medical examiner has stated there were no injuries to neck, throat area and that drug usage and underlying health issues was the cause of death which I had obviously predicted because of my experience
-the officer is being charged and I’m ok with that because I still think he was violating policy
-the officer if found guilty killed him out of negligence and stupidity not of fear
-they were perfectly in order to arrest him for a he counterfeit bill and his being so high
Do you really think that these guys that attempted to arrest this guy did a public service? A man died for a copied $20 bill and it cost the business owners of Minneapolis millions of dollars, did untold harm to the relations of the police and public and for what? Police are out of control and something needs to reign them under control.

And I’m saying neither of us know what it actually was because we weren’t there and didn’t see and hear everything. I choose to believe the cops did the right thing over CNN who we all know has faked stuff before. Maybe this is a situation where the cops are wrong and CNN did nothing wrong but that video isn’t absolute proof of it. You won’t convince me otherwise but you can’t go around claiming they weren’t given a reason for the arrest when that is clearly on the video.

While the one officer is in the wrong he also didn’t make this man commit multiple criminal offenses. And he also didn’t make these OTHER criminals commit all those felonies

It's funny that I point to what was said on video and your response is "neither of us were there" then in literally the same breath you say "you can’t go around claiming they weren’t given a reason for the arrest when that is clearly on the video"

SMH.

Look, I'm no fan of CNN and they do a lot of bogus drama peddling...but come on man, be objective. This one is pretty clear and there is zero...zero evidence to the contrary.

Who said anything about a press conference? If he wants to give a press conference about China, great. A simple on-air statement on Minneapolis is not out of the realm of expectation.

My mistake, I misunderstood your post.

Yes, during his PC he could have made a "let justice play out" or similar calming comment.

You missed another group that needs reigned under control.

If you watch one of the videos it shows the officer walk up to Floyd's car talk with him for a second then immediately pull him out. They don't usually do that unless there is something they can see in plain sight. My theory is Floyd had a bunch of drugs in his lap and swallowed them to avoid being caught. To me when they walk him over and sit him down he seems high to me. Then the officers pinned him down because people on drugs are unpredictable. Then with all the events that unfolded Floyd's body went into overdrive and mixed with the drugs it gave out.
With all that being said I do think the charges are fair the officer was super negligent and didn't follow policy.
Lastly I think they picked the charges that would stick. If they charged him with first degree and the officer walked then things would get 10x worse

So he likely died of a drug induced issue with his heart. Uh oh

Honestly, I hope for the police officer's sake, he didn't actually kill him. I still think he is a POS for ignoring Floyd's pleas for help.

We'll see what happens with the independent autopsy and if any additional charges are brought.

Do you acknowledge that the CNN reporter says the crew was told to move and didn’t?

I'm sure they charged him with murder and fired him because he was innocent. On the other hand they change innocent people everyday that don't have any money expecting a plea deal.

I'm betting the cop walks on the murder/manslaughter charges. Or they reach a plea with no jail time. Then the federals charge him with civil rights violations.
