I understand when those students entered but that group's data runs through 2022. They give those athletes 6 years to graduate. So it is absolutely on Kirby.View attachment 676455

Again, because of the way the data is compiled the lag is so long it's really not very useful for knowing what is happening now, or for blaming Kirby for all or even most of it. Our current numbers for example consist entirely of players brought in by Butch Jones.
'We need to do better': Georgia football ranks last in FBS in latest NCAA graduation rates
Georgia football is at the bottom of more than 130 FBS programs in the latest NCAA graduation rate metric. Here's how the school is addressing that.www.onlineathens.com
Don’t think he meant fines levied by the city. I think he meant internal fines with the team. But then I’d ask where that money goes. Back to the collective? Not sure about that as Kirby didn’t offer any detail when he said it. Whatever it is, I don’t think it’s getting their attention. So their nil is paying all their fines?
I didn't say none of it was on Kirby, just that it all wasn't on him. His first year was 2016 and this is for players entering 2013-16, so this snap shot is a mixture of late Richt/early Kirby for UGA and mostly Butch for us.I understand when those students entered but that group's data runs through 2022. I don't necessarily believe Kirby is the only one to blame here. This is a university and AD administration level problem. I believe they are so all in on winning that they just don't care.
What should they do, seriously though, throw people off the team for speeding?Don’t think he meant fines levied by the city. I think he meant internal fines with the team. I know the Solicitor in Athens-Clarke County (the prosecutor of misdemeanors in Georgia). He's an LSU grad and I can assure you he is not cutting "the Dawgs" special favors. Didn't James Pearce get arrested for reckless driving or speeding or something last Christmas, didn't he get cut a deal where he just had to pay court costs and the charges were dismissed? Was that a sweetheart deal or just a recognition that he probably had no criminal history to speak of? Was he suspended? Definitely wasn't kicked off the team.I think it's up to the courts, if they were really concerned about public safety, they have the power to put a stop to it. But they are all in on winning football games as well.
Do Vol players have a repeated problem of reckless driving? If so, I haven't heard anything about that.I know the Solicitor in Athens-Clarke County (the prosecutor of misdemeanors in Georgia). We had 4 between last October and March and we'll have more, it's inevitable with young men making money and buying fast cars. I think it's fair to escalate punishment for repeat offenses by the same player but I don't think it's fair to punish a kid for his first offense because other kids also got caught speeding. Nobody gets kicked off a team for single speeding tickets. That's absurd but it seems to be what you want because that's all that hasn't been done to my knowledge.Do Vol players have a repeated problem of reckless driving? If so, I haven't heard anything about that.
This is a situation where 2 people have already died and the incidents continue. Where does it stop? It is obviously not going to stop until an innocent bystander gets seriously hurt or killed. That's only a matter of time while the courts twiddle their thumbs and pass out $50 fines.
