It is still astonishing to me how many incidents they've had after a teammate was killed. It'd still be tragic but more understandable if they had a bunch of violations, then a teammate gets killed doing it, and then it stops.People have died - but it's not hurting the program.
24 separate incidents!?It is still astonishing to me how many incidents they've had after a teammate was killed. It'd still be tragic but more understandable if they had a bunch of violations, then a teammate gets killed doing it, and then it stops.
If Kirby was winning at anything less than the level that he's been winning at, I think he'd be on the hot seat over it. Especially given his public comments about these incidents have been "Yeah, we really haven't figured it out yet, we're still trying to, nobody else has really figured it out either."

Georgia WR arrested on reckless driving charge
This is a bad pattern following a huge accident plus a lawsuit. They need to get some accountability
I don't have much faith in Smart doing what needs to be done to correct this. I mean, they have a 41% graduation rate ffs.
Win at all costs, I suppose.
I thought the same, but apparently players leaving early for the NFL or transferring are not calculated in these findings. I did read on athensonline that these results come from players that entered the program from 2013-2016. If that’s true I’ve every hope that things have already improved. There just is no good excuse for 41%.What exactly "needs to be done" to correct this? It's highly unlikely RaRa Thomas ever plays again for Georgia.
Also, so many Georgia players leave early for the NFL, of course it's reflected in the graduation rate.

Disciplinary action of some kind. I mean 20+ traffic incidents since a player and university employee got killed is unacceptable, no? Maybe there is disciplinary action, but it obviously isn't working. What exactly "needs to be done" to correct this? It's highly unlikely RaRa Thomas ever plays again for Georgia.

For 41% to be acceptable, half of your team would have to go pro early. I know UGA has had quite a few, but certainly not half. And then there is Bennett in college for six years not even getting a degree. Van Wilder would be proud.
If acceleration is the goal, they should have bought a Tesla. https://www.reddit.com/r/electricve...hysics_of_060_mph_in_2_seconds_model_s_plaid/Not necessarily thinking top speed, but acceleration/performance. You squeeze the gas pedal on one of those Trackhawks and you're doing 80 MPH like 4.5 seconds later.
