Ironic? Nope. I only want to kill those who would kill you or I.
It's the fact that they ruled that everyone there must obide by his religion, but no one else can have any food they're allowed to. You get worse every day.
Why does it bother you that other inmates will be eating Halal food? In no way does that mean that other inmates will be abiding by his religion; for Christians specifically, Jesus clearly asserts that what goes into the body simply ends up in the sewer anyway.
Don't worry yourself Christian Fanatics rule the day in the USA.![]()
ANN ARBOR, MI – In the middle of an event to extol the
virtues of the U.S. Constitution and “American Laws For
American Courts,” the audience learned first-hand how
easy it is to lose their freedom of Speech and Assembly.
Amid shouts of “What about free speech?” from the
audience, the Allegan Police Department ordered the
event shut-down. School officials notified police that
they had received a letter complaining about the event
from Dawud Walid, Executive Director of the Council on
American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MI). The letter asked
the school to disallow the event despite an existing
contract.
The civil suit was filed Monday in U.S. District Court in
Grand Rapids by the Thomas More Law Center. Besides
Allegan officials, the defendants include leaders of a
Muslim civil rights organization that asked the city to
cancel the event.
According to the suit, a speech given Jan. 28 by Kamal
Saleem at Allegan High School was stopped by police
acting on a letter opposing Saleem's visit. The letter
was sent several days earlier by Dawud Walid, executive
director of the Michigan branch of the Council on
American-Islamic Relations.
The suit also said that police were told of possible —
and unconfirmed — threats against Saleem, said Richard
Thompson, president and chief counsel for the Ann
Arbor-based Thomas More center. Thompson said
shutting down the meeting violated Saleem's right to
freedom of speech and freedom of assembly.
Part of the "Constituting Michigan -- Founding Principles
Act" event's purpose was to show "the internal threat to
America posed by radical Muslims" and Shariah, the
Islamic religious law, according to the lawsuit.
House Bill 4769, which would conditionally ban the use of
Shariah or non-U.S. laws in state courts, also was to be
discussed.
-----------------------------
Thompson said Allegan officials "caved in" to pressure
from Walid's group.
"You are not controlled by what we call a 'heckler's
veto,'" Thompson said. "It does not mean you shut down
the people who are going to speak. You have to protect
the people who are going to speak."
About 150 people were in attendance at the Jan. 28
event before it was stopped. Forty or so heard Saleem
finish at a nearby bowling alley, Thompson said.
ALLEGAN, Mich. (WOOD) - 2/15/12 - The Allegan High
School auditorium was evacuated Thursday evening
after authorities became aware of a bounty on the head
of a speaker scheduled to appear at an event there.
Allegan Public Schools Superintendent Kevin Harness
said the auditorium had been rented out for an event
paid for by Allegan County Commissioner Bill Sage. It
was not a school event.
The speaker was Kamal Saleem. Saleem claims he is a
former terrorist. He travels around the country speaking
at events.
Just before the event, police were made aware of a $25
million bounty on Saleem's head by Sagem, authorities
said. (According to WHO? WHO made them aware? WHO
is this "Sagem"??)
Saleem's bodyguard told police that Islamic terrorists
who follow the teaching of the Quran that have been
directed to behead Saleem.
Allegan Police Chief Rick Hoyer told 24 Hour News 8 said
that when police learned that information, they felt they
did not have enough officers to make the event safe.
"We did not have adequate info to provide a safe
environment for this event," Hoyer said.
-----------------
There were 3 other school-sponsored sporting events at
which students were present going on in the school at
the time of the event. Attendees of those sporting
events were not evacuated.

Islamists do not need to carry any weapons in America.
They don't have to lift a finger. All that has to be said,
is that there is a "hint" of possible violence and the
American voice is quiet. And Islamists don't have to do
a thing. WE shut ourselves up!! Our bone headed
jackwagon liberal leaders and law enforcement will do
their bidding. For Gods sake America...open your eyes!!
And this bothers you...why? Are Christians religiously proscribed from eating Halal food?
What does your question have to do with anything?
Do you agree with the ruling of the judge?
Insofar as precedents and law in and outside the United States have guaranteed and supported the observance and expression of religion for inmates (the Geneva Convention even states that religious material and food must be provided by the detaining nation), I have no problem with the ruling. If you want the State to stop respecting and supporting religious expression and observance in penitentiaries, then you should be just as upset that there are prison chaplains, prison chapels, Bibles provided for prisoners, etc.
The judge in this case obviously feels that the observance and expression of religion should be protected in the prisons; he probably understands that there is no Christian prohibition against eating Halal food; he probably also understands that the most expedient manner in which to feed the prisoners is to prepare the same meals for everyone.
I do have a problem with his solution and that concerns Jewish prisoners. While most Halal food is nearly Kosher, it is not Kosher (difference in ritual, not so much in food source). So, a problem will arise down the road. The easiest solution he could have offered was to make all the meals vegetarian.

This is a scary way to think. If you are convinced that every Muslim wants to kill/torture all Christians, Jews, etc. then I would suggest you get out more.
The answer is never violence against one particular group of people, should the ones responsible come to justice? Absolutely, but your post is disturbing
There are too many other instances of violence against Christians to list here.
Congressmen Peter King and Patrick Meehan
Last month, Congressmen Peter King and Patrick Meehan wrote a letter to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton urging the State Department to designate Boko Haram as a foreign terrorist organization, the letter stated, in part:
Attacks on northern and central Nigeria's Christian community come as no surprise in light of Boko Haram's genocidal declarations to kill Christians in the North, yet sadly they were avoidable. Despite the fact that the world has been on notice about religiously motivated terrorism in Nigeria due to sustained terrorist activity occurring against perceived "Western" concepts including churches, schools and even the United Nations, governments at home and abroad have largely ignored or underestimated the growing problem of interreligious strife and terrorism within Nigeria.
U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Africa, Ambassador Johnnie Carson
Despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, Johnnie Carson stated "religion is not driving extremist violence" on Monday at a forum on U.S. policy toward Nigeria held at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, D.C. He said, "I want to take this opportunity to stress one key point and that is that religion is not driving extremist violence either in Jos or northern Nigeria," as reported by CNS news. Is he a madman? Is he deranged? How can he lie so blatantly? Why?
----------------------
Johnnie Carson needs to step down; his denial of an obvious religious influence in these attacks is astoundingly irresponsible.
In Nigeria, as well as around the world, Christians have been targeted by radical Islamists. This is not a hate-mongering statement, this is not an anti-Islam statement, and it is simply a fact. The plight of the Christians has been largely ignored by the mainstream media.
-----------------------
Christians are being targeted around the world, (e.g., Pakistan) and nobody reports on this? Why? Where is the outrage?
If the real objective was to make lasting change in afg I would question our success as well. I believe, as do others, that the real reason for our continued presence there is the fragile situation in pakistan. They hold nuclear weapons and for the taliban or their cohorts to gain power there would likely mean nuclear war with Isreal. The israelis are will ing to make war with Iran, and are pressuring us to do so now, in order to keep nukes out of the hands of like minded moslem extremists.
The Israelis are far more aggressive than we are in recent military engagements. They play for keeps. Iran and pakistan are powder kegs and we need a presence in the region in order to show solidarity with Israel. I hope they can all play nice over there in the sandbox so we can prosper here when we get a decent president.

That's where your let's accomadate everyone convictions blow up. As a convicted prisoner you lose rights, one is your right to demand certain types of food. A prisoner should be fed and treated humanely but sorry go hungry if you don't like the food!
