One thing that always struck me about Mulkey, is her very long neck. That probably adds a few inches to her height. That don't help a bit with basketball. So, she's effectively more like 6'6" than 6 8, though that's still nothing to look down upon (which is what she's doing to almost everyone). ;)

Begging your pardon but I was inferring about the ex OU player Ms. Nancy Mulkey not the Baylor coach Kim Mulkey.

Coach Mulkey is past from looking good in anything. :)

I sat behind Baylor's bench at TBA this past season and witnessed Coach Mulkey up close...YIKES. 😳

Actually, Coach M just needs a few cheeseburgers to get up over 100lbs and she would look fine. Too skinny, imho.

Much truth there is in your statement.

I will always like Kim because she is so appreciative of Pat. Know some Baylor fans, and apparently she was pretty adamant about always showing respect for Pat. In a fan/booster meeting they said she told them she had no problem with them standing and applauding when Pat was introduced (Des Moines😢).

But I must admit.....not a fan of her style:blink:.

I watched Mulkey play several times. She gets pushed around a lot because she is way too skinny for her height. She needs a lot of work to be good at the post position and she is a little too timid. I can't see this coaching staff making her any better than she is. Russell is very good on offense, except fighting for rebounds, however, Russell has shown at times that she can be a force on both ends of the court. The problem with Russell is she is inconsistent and she takes time off. The problem is she hasn't really been pushed, especially with a short benched. I hope Green and KK pushes her to put her best foot forward. Now she will not be pushed if the coaching staff does not demand it.

I do not think so Gule.... she is a project. Many times coach had her in for the opening tip then took her out....

the only think she has now in her game is her height. Needs to work on everything else.... she was good at the HS level... when she could dominate by just being on floor WCBB is different

Yes but having her sit out a year could help her, I would send (or encourage) her to work with Hakeem Olajuwon (she is from Texas and not to far from Houston I believe) as he offers personal training and camps. If her parent paid for it, I don't think it would be in violation of NCAA rules (or am I wrong?)

Mulkey didn't develop Griner much but her presence at 6'8 is a factor.

Having her sit out a year and beefing her up (it's possible if you seen her mom) and as a value in case you don't land a post in 2019 would be beneficial.

I bet Vic Shaffer would know what to do with her.

Yes I remember her mother from the TV show a couple of seasons ago.... I do not see Nancy blooming though.... too timid.... she can work with Hakeem.... on the moves in the pivot.... still a project!!!

To me, she looks like a girl who has been expected/encouraged to play because she is so tall. She doesn't seem to have a passion for it. I'll bet she would rather be doing something else with her time. I hope for her sake I'm wrong.

Is she more of a project than Harris? If she is interested I don't think you can afford to pass on her especially having her be able to sit out a year yet still practice with the team (she'd be able to practice against Russell for a year, Green for 2, Harris & KK for 3).
