Anthony Grant in Knoxville?

Tony is a great guy and I really like the man, but UT can and will do better than him.
Who is your pick then. Brad Stevens would be great but we won't get him. Just like to know who you think would be better than Grant?

Me too. Il like how everyone is hating on Grant but can't produce who they would like out of the one's in question. I think Grant would be a good pick. Let's face it, we got lucky with Pearl, then he screwed up. This ain't Kansas, Kentucky, UNC, or Duke. We just got to hope we pick the right guy. Brad Stevens would be my pick out of them all, but I think he is looking for a palce with a better Basketball history. That being said, I would be happy with Grant.

My sources at McGhee-Tyson have confirmed for me that Anthony Grant is indeed in Knoxville.

Here is a name that is not mentioned that I would to have. He might leave if the KU job ever came open though. He could recruit and he is well thought of. Jayhawk assistant ' Danny Manning". Throw him some money and hope he takes it.

I don't know about that. He made VCU what it is today. He led a mediocre Alabama Team to a 12-4 SEC record. His defensive scheme is awesome. He is young. Most of all, he could recruit Memphis. I would take him in a heartbeat.

Hat was answering question about Tony Barbee, not talking about Grant, I believe. Jeff Capel may take issue with Grant making VCU what it is

Don't shoot the messenger, but I have a friend who swears he saw Grant with Chancellor Cheek in TBA an hour ago. Was just wondering if this had been reported already or if anyone else could confirm or has seen him on campus.

If anyone is reported to be in Knoxville prior to already accepting the job, then it's false. Hamilton's m.o. is to meet at neutral undisclosed sites. I wouldn't be surprised at a meeting in NYC or close by, but not in KTown.
