Anti-Trump Hysteria and Silliness

Rumors circulating that the House may try to pass the new health care bill tonight. Still a long way to go with the Senate, but Trump will surely claim major victory.

CNN reports that two House GOPers flipped to yes votes.

This is the first I had realized that Jabba the Hut is in Congress.

Would that make Pelosi Jar Jar Binks?

Mary Matalin not looking too good these days.
Rosa DeLauro, the Representative from my former district in New Haven, CT. She and her husband (Greenberg) provided an apt. rent free in D.C. to Rahm Emanuel, who in turn provided large contracts to Greenberg's polling firm when Rahm was head of a committee when he was in Congress.

<sigh>

And there I thought college was for higher learning.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/may/3/butler-university-offers-anti-trump-course-with-st/

Students at Indiana’s Butler University will soon learn “strategies for resistance” to oppose President Donald Trump.

Students paying roughly $36,000 in tuition have signed up for a “Special Topics” class titled “Trumpism & U.S. Democracy.” The course, which begins in August and runs until December, explicitly charges the Republican with “perpetuating sexism, white supremacy, xenophobia, nationalism, nativism, and imperialism.”

“This course explores why and how this happened, how Trump’s rhetoric is contrary to the foundation of the U.S. democracy, and what his win means for the future,” reads a description on Butler’s website, first reported Wednesday by The Heartland Institute. “The course will also discuss, and potentially engage in, strategies for resistance.”

I would agree wholeheartedly that he promotes all of those things, except nationalism and imperialism.

He is neither a nationalist, nor an imperialist. I'm an imperialist, and Donny is no imperialist.

Rather, he's a transnational capitalist, whose loyalty is to the corporation.

A corporatist would be more apropos.

According to some - this makes you "educated". Lol

I love the provosts' response to the people starting to ask questions:

The former concern—that the course adopts a stance critical of Trump—is one that falls under the auspices of academic freedom. Just as I support this course, I would support a course that is complimentary of the President. Butler offers a variety of courses that tackle controversial topics.

The proverbial lead balloon if someone thought about trying to get a pro-Trump class going.

Are you serious ?

This will be Velo's and VP's next conclusive "proof" that Trump is on his way out.

https://www.aol.com/article/news/20...ump-impeachment-probe-passes-in-l-a/22074311/

A resolution calling for a Congressional investigation of President Trump for potentially impeachable offenses has been passed by the Los Angeles City Council in a unanimous vote.

L.A. City Council member Bob Blumenfield led the move, which passed in a 10-zero vote.

According to The Independent, Blumenfield said it's not about disagreeing with Trump's policies but about "conflict of interest" instead.

While I still think him a better choice than Hillary, Trump has been far from impressive thus far. JMO, of course.

Both parties screwed the pooch when it came to nominations.

The DNC backed the wrong horse early and didn't let the voters decide.

The GOP got it taken out of their hands by the voters.

Fox News reporter Catherine Herridge says this is one of the biggest headlines out of the hearing today with the FBI director, pointing out that the FBI had found an email was obtained by Russian hackers that indicated that former DOJ hack Loretta Lynch would do everything she could to protect Hillary from prosecution:
