Anti-Trump Hysteria and Silliness

This is why we have elections. The solar energy climate change folks have had 8 years to push their agenda.

Now that the dust has settled on Solyndra, Gore has removed the hockey stick from his rear end, and the oceans have not flooded the earth we can find some things to work on together. Like shutting down the EPA and giving more power to the states to manage their environment. 😃

This is just a frankly poor statement. What does this even mean? Some of the largest energy companies like Shell and Exxon have significant research and investments in cleaner energy sources. Renewable energy is already a massive industry.

Yep, energy companies are expanding and diversifying into alternate energy fields. Though sometimes not by choice. Remember when Obama said he wanted to kill the coal industry? Which part of the Federal Government do you think was responsible for making that happen?

Or we can get into the whole wetlands debate. Since when should the federal government be allowed to tell me what I can and can't do on my own damn property that I pay taxes on? Because the EPA can and has done exactly that.

And let's not even get into the Waters of the United States Act where ranchers weren't even allowed to dig a pond for their cattle lest it become a "navigable waterway" since the EPA didn't approve it.

We aren't even going to discuss how the environmental crowd went about forestalling the Keystone XL for so long. And how Obama didn't really have a good reason for putting the brakes on it other than to appease a certain voting segment.

Yes, the environmental crowd has been at war with American businesses over the past eight years. Over 4,000 new EPA regulations were issued under Obama. Over 500 a year. Hell, more than one a day. And this isn't overreach and won't cause a problem with the way businesses operate?

I never said anything about Obama, so you can feel free to list small time points like the ones you listed, but nothing you wrote is a logical backing for saying the climate change "community" has been at war the American industry. Renewable energies ARE an American industry. And a very big one at that!

Energy companies are moving heavily towards natural gas because it makes economic sense. Energy companies are investing very heavily in renewable research because it makes economic sense.

You do know that academics pushes the man made climate change to get their funding? If you even question the agenda, you lose your money. This is why most of the best scientist go into the private sector. Tucker Carlson had a Georgia Tech Climatologist on his show talking about how she couldn't do her research on Natural Climate Change because it didn't conform.

Renewable energies are a growing industry. I stated that as much in the other post. However, even when one gets a renewable energy idea rolling, environmentalists come in *****ing and moaning about it trying to get it shut down. I've posted it before.

Nuclear...not even going to go there even though it's been pretty safe since it's inception. But every power plant in their eyes is a Chernobyl in waiting.

Solar...environmental crowd screams about clearing of forests to put up solar arrays. Or the fact said solar arrays can harm migrating birds.

Wind...environmental crowd screams about migrating birds getting killed by turbines.

Geothermal...environmental crowd screams about sulfur pollution.

Natural Gas...environmental crowd screams about fracking.

I'm sure they'll ***** about cold fusion if we ever perfect it. They are never happy with any energy source. Of course, not a darn one rides a horse to the latest demonstration.

White House advisors called Ottawa to urge Trudeau to help talk Trump down from scrapping NAFTA

White House staff called the Prime Minister’s Office last month to urge Justin Trudeau to persuade President Donald Trump not to tear up the North American Free Trade Agreement, according to multiple Canadian government sources.

The unconventional diplomatic manoeuvre — approaching the head of a foreign government to influence your own boss — proved decisive, as Trump thereafter abandoned his threat to pull out of NAFTA unilaterally, citing the arguments made by Trudeau and Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto as pivotal.

But the incident highlights the difficulties faced by governments all over the world when it comes to dealing with a president as volatile as Trump.

The best advice I can give to you, other than stop being a "populist libertarian," is to stop watching bow-tie boy.

You believe everything you read?

So long as it's anti-Trump at least?

Your condescension of Velo, a man who runs laps around you in terms of objective analysis, is duly noted.

When Donny falls flat on his head, as is inevitable, you will be held to account.

Okay it sounds like we are talking about very different groups then. I'm talking about actual scientists with advanced degrees who conduct research in relevant fields

Same scientists that predict doom and gloom that hasn't exactly panned out yet?

Still doesn't change the fact your initial post on the matter is completely misleading.

"Pruitt removes scientists from panel."

When in reality it should have read:

"Pruitt does not renew the contracts of half the 18 member science board to allow for other members to step in."

Whether or not he nominates nine more bunny hugging, earth first types is another topic of conversation. But your hysteria, screeching and downright misleading in the initial post on the matter is what moved me to call out said screeching.

"Pruitt Removes Scientists from Panel" was the title of the article.

The article goes on to say that no scientists on the panel had previously been "removed". Again, most all of us know what is going on...that is what I am currently SCREECHING about and will continue to SCREECH about. The more people that understand what is happening, the better off we will all be.

The scientist predicted an ice age in the 70's, and now predicting doom in another way. These scientist are just as politically biased as anyone else.

So, basically CNN has a misleading title to their article? Because they, again, haven't been "removed." Just not being renewed. And that's not even a semantics issue. It's a straight "misleading ****ing verbiage" issue.

And I understand what is happening. He's not renewing the three year terms on half the panel. Color me shocked. Old Admin out, new Admin in with changes. But you keep up the good fight.

The fact that no one had ever been "not renewed" in the past makes it the same as being "removed". Word games.

It's the whole smoking doesn't cause cancer debate. In hindsight, we all see how pathetically ridiculous that was. Yet it happened, people denied the science and offered "alternative science" all in the name of making a dollar and at the expense of people's lives. This will be no different other than it might have to play out over a longer time span.

So the article has a lie for the headline, you like how it reads, so you continue to scree- uh..erm ... propagate the lie.

What does that mak...uh...erm...say about you Luther?

So, it's a lifetime appointment then? Because if said scientists continue to get appointed until they:

A: Die
B: Move on

That makes them? Lifetime appointments if they want it. And that's what's wrong with the Federal Government today.

Would you stop trying to divert this away from the fact the headline is a lie, your post contained misconstruing language and you got called out on it?

New Admin, new choices, get over it.
