Uhhh, that is just wrong. The Democrats flipped 40 seats in the House of Representatives. That is the most they have flipped in a mid-term election since 1974 - Watergate.

40 seats is not an average gain in the House. They also flipped 7 governorships and the Senate map was very favorable to Republicans in 2018.
