Anti-Trump Hysteria and Silliness

Taxpayers have been subsidizing the uninsureds inability to pay for their insurance.

We've been paying for the uninsured the whole time, I thought everyone knew this.

fair point, but back then I was able to dictate what policies I wanted and faced no penalty for not having insurance.

Missing the connection here.

We were talking about over the top political statements by entertainers. I read an article about his concert in KC the other night where a few people walked out.

If you haven't seen it, and your a Floyd fan, Roger Waters Us + Them is a must see show. Trump nut huggers ought to steer clear of watching.

Irrespective of political views, at 72 - Waters is absolutely slaying it.

Didn't see that one reported.

U2 did something similar, though likely not as over the top as nobody left over it that I saw. Something about fear and not being afraid that was Trump-centric.

Then again, it's U2, so you expect them to have some political messages in their concerts.

I mean you're not required to purchase it simply for living here.

I think Grand Vol's original statement was that the government shouldn't require a person to purchase something they may or may not want.

If someone wants to drive on public roads but does not wish to purchase insurance, the government steps in and says....not so fast my friend.

Is this appropriate?

Wouldn't this be more accurate if the State required people homebound, too young for licensure, those who only ride public transportation or ride bicycles to purchase auto insurance?

Okay, let's make it even more fun. The conditions you place on medical insurance really isn't applicable since all of the categories you list have a need for healthcare.

I am all for a mandate. I do not think the penalty should be a fine. It should be that you sign something acknowledging that you have no medical insurance. This could be indicated on your drivers' license. Medical providers would then have the absolute right to refuse any and all care to you and have the right to demand payment in advance. This would include emergency procedures. So a few people die. They did not demonstrate the requisite responsibility by ensuring their medical care was covered, right?

I am, poorly it seems, comparing the Fed compelling the purchase of insurance covering items which arent applicable to the insured to forcing someone to maintain auto insurance when they will never own or operate a vehicle.

An interesting idea. I wonder if medical personnel would deny care when faced with life and death scenarios? That would be tough.

Yes, I fully believe medical providers should be able to refuse services to those that can't pay. This is the only way to go forward without an individual mandate and still require coverage for preexisting conditions.

wtf...

Nancy has sh!t for brains because she doesn't realize that doing stupid crap like this will keep Trump & Repubs re-elected. Democrats will not win anything come 2020 with this type of behavior continuing on....so you guys on the left can blame these stupid celebrity idiots for the Dems failures at the voting booth.

So that many people vote based on their desire to "stick it to celebrities"? It may be wiser for them to vote based on the issues....but you're correct, that's how Trump won.

Of course if you're injured or otherwise disabled due to your failure to pay medical insurance or bills then no disability or other publicly funded programs for the irresponsible.

Yes, they should have voted for Hillary because "the issues". What were those again? Russia, racist frogs, and gay bathrooms?

When it came to issues, Trump's were unmistakeable

I'm liking what you're proposing, when do you plan to run for office?
