Any Spartacus watchers out there?

I was similar at the beginning and I think that's probably because I know it's ending. But, I've gotten deeper into it with each episode and now I'm hooked again.

Yet another great episode....Just think, if Agron would've struck down Caesar, the world would be a much different place huh?? I have to agree though it seems as though somebody important is gonna have to go. My guess is Gannicus.

I think that's everyone's guess and I am not a fan of the idea. I think Caesar will kill him.

Actually, now that you mention Caesar, I think it will be Agron that dies and it will be Caesar who does it.

As for Crassus's son, Tiberius. I think he will die for sure since, historically, he didn't even exist. His only son, Publius, was shown earlier in the season and he dies with his dad when they invade Parthia some years later.

Should be a good one tonight, I think Agron is the one that's going to get it.

I was coming to this thread to post almost the exact same thing word for word lol. I'm still interested to see what happens with Castus (the black pirate). According to history he was a major general in Spartacus' army.

You think they are making the Castus that we see in the show the historical one? The Castus, from history, was a gladiator that escaped with them from Batiatus's ludus, right? I'm try to keep up on my Roman History and I believe he was, but whatever. I do enjoy how they are staying to the story as far as the names go. With that said, there are still quite a few surprises week to week....Good stuff.

Yeah he was and for the longest time I thought they included him and just called him Agron instead. But if you look at the "season long" previews you can see Castus standing with the army against the Romans. I guess we'll see what happens. It wouldn't surprise me if he ends up being a BA this episode.

I never look at the previews but I will now, for sure. I wonder if Agron will be upset with Nasir (his lover boy) more if Castus does join with them....He's obviously not happy with Castus in the first place for trying to take Nasir as it is....But, if we are right and Agron is gone tonight then it won't matter, Castus can step in....Literally. ;)

Maybe he does something to gain Spartacus' trust, maybe he saves someone's life (Spartacus, Agron, Gannicus ect.)

Seemed like a long episode tonight. Good one though. Gannicus is a monster. I thought he was done for sure.

That was a really good episode. I really like how the story between Tiberius and Caesar is shaping up. Caesar always seems to be able to one up him and make himself look great, which makes sense since, after all, he is CAESAR!! Not to mention, I did name my son after him too, so they better make him seem awesome. :)

Anyways, I too thought Gannicus was done for, having giving himself up as the sacrificial lamb but in true Gannicus form he managed to battle through. Only a few more episodes left, that makes me a little bitter but I'm loving this show....

Very true, 2,057 years ago he was...And yet we still talk about him today. Clearly he was a great man. Since my son was named after him he will always remember to "Beware the Ides of March."

Fantastic episode. I love the way they are taking the war between Spartacus and Crassus and making it a war of mind games rather than a brute war of yelling and screaming.

Major props to the writers for that.

I agree, I like that aspect as well. I bet they are going to make Pompey seem like this hotheaded punk of a leader when he shows up to 'clean up the stragglers'. Crassus was considered a bit of a strategist....Of course until he tried to conquer Parthia. But that's for a later course. ;)

Don't know how the series will finish but history was not kind to Spartacus and his army.

So Caeser got raped. By a boy.

Not gonna lie I think they kind of missed the mark with the whole Tiberius thing. I feel like I could knock this kid out without flinching, but I'm supposed to buy into the idea that he is tough enough to rape two people and kill Crixus.

Not a good way for Crixus to go out at all.

Historically, they don't really say what happens to Spartacus. Only that he fell in battle (Crassus reported that he actually saw him fall) but they never found his body. Of course, the survivors were crucified on the Appian Way from Capua to Rome, that must've been an awesome sight and an unbelievable stench as well.....I have to agree about Tiberius, he seems like such a wimp and to have Crixus go out like that was kind of crappy. I would've liked to have seen Caesar do it to save Tiberius' life instead. Would've been easier to swallow.

Oh well, only a few more episodes left, lets see how they portray it.
