Any update on Pili?

Look, it’s simply wrong while someone is writhing in pain on the field to speculate about their career (suggest they’ll never play again). To post “he’ll never play again” and speculate on injury without knowledge is… by definition… gossip.

I’m not changing your mind. You’re going to think it’s fine. That’s OK. There are no Gossip Police to hand out fines.

You do you. I’ll be me.
How do you know you aren’t changing his mind? Sounds like a detail that’s not confirmed. In other words, gossip. Can someone que up the church lady from SNL for me?

- Last year some fans on this board were saying Bru would never play again and they were wrongfully diagnosing Bru’s injury as he lay on the turf. JUST WRONG

- A VN poster says Pili’s injury against Florida was career ending. WE DONT KNOW. He may return this year. He may work towards NFL Draft. WE DONT KNOW

I’ll stand by my position it is bad JuJu to speak ill over the health of another without a diagnosis.

After the Arky game both Squirrel and Bru were lost for the season according to posters on this board.

Well-played I’ll admit. I will argue I was under the OPINION he would not change his mind based on direct observation.

Please admonish me if you ever see me throwing a players career under the bus by speculating on injury.

Cheers

I would love for this to be something he can come back from and at least finish the season. I have no idea what his life plans are, but at 25 or however old he is, I do not imagine that the NFL is next for him. He seems like a smart player based on how he plays. Hopefully he can get back on the field this season and have a good finish to his career here.

He might be a good addition to our coaching staff next year if that is a direction he wishes to pursue

Sometimes you see the type of injury or the reaction to it that tells you it ain’t good. I hate it for this young man. Great leader. God just doesn’t give us all the same body regardless of the weights we lift or sprints we run. I hope he can get back & play a few years in the NFL. He deserves it.

On the re-watch, it looked like nothing.
What drew my attention the most was how deflated he appeared, like he knew what injury he had just sustained. Not withing around with pain more like a resignation to the circumstances.

No offense to Keenan but a 26-27 yr old with a history of injuries throughout his career is not likely getting picked up in the NFL. So again, IF he’s done this year, he’s done for good.

Not necessarily…

Nobody thought Frank Gore would have a legit NFL career. He stayed injured at Miami. I think he tore both of his ACL while at Miami. That’s why McGhahee was so dominant there.

Then Frank gets into the NFL and plays over 10 years at running back of all positions!

Pili might get picked up by a team with veteran LBs and then his body heals over the 1st two years of the NFL, and he becomes a starter and plays 6 more. 8 year NFL career- millionaire- retired at 35. You just never know…

Green dot helmet either going to Telander or A. Carter.

Big loss and I hate it for Pili. I also thought Carter played really well the other night.

Telander was our highest rated LB vs Arkansas. He played about half as many snaps as Pili and Carter though. He was highest rated by PFF though by a wide margin. The other 2 got lit up in pass coverage.

Havent seen PFF grades yet from FU, but he played well IMO and both our OTackles sucked again. Especially Heard, he was a liability all game again. Will not be surprised at all if Johnson starts vs Bama in Heards spot.
