Any update on Pili?

Heart breaks for the man - he's done nothing but fought and done the right things the entire way and had nothing but bad breaks.
Hopefully he can get past this and get a shot at the next level if that is his path.

IMO - he's one of those guys that could spend a couple of years in the NFL, flip over to coaching, and become a very good DC eventually.

Mays 75.8

Davis 63.9 (10 plays)

Lampley 61.6 (10 plays)

Campbell 55.6

Karic 54.8

Spraggins 51.4

Heard 38.3

One of these is not like the others. I’d like to see Johnson III get a shot

Green dot helmet either going to Telander or A. Carter.

Above shows that Heard was even worse than his low 40s grade vs Ark. Either he is still badly hurt or is not ready to be an SEC tackle this season. Either way, Johnson, D.Davis or 1 of the other underclassmen can surely do better than a 30 something grade right? I sure hope so. Spraggins and Campbell both had bad games again too...I dont know whats going on with Spraggs because he was solid last season. Campbell is a senior and is still a liability. If we have to spend $1MM each on the best Tackles available in the portal next round thats gonna suck. Not really because of the $$$...because like Heard we dont get to bring those guys in for camps or workouts like the HS prospects. We buy them sight unseen based only on tape...worked out great at CB, Safety, WR, TE....but Campbell from Miami and Heard from LSU have both not lived up to expectations leaving us with no recourse in season to remedy the problem. The Tackle position by itself may be the difference between playoffs and a shot at rings, and a 9-3 or even 8-4 type season.

Not necessarily…

Nobody thought Frank Gore would have a legit NFL career. He stayed injured at Miami. I think he tore both of his ACL while at Miami. That’s why McGhahee was so dominant there.

Then Frank gets into the NFL and plays over 10 years at running back of all positions!

Pili might get picked up by a team with veteran LBs and then his body heals over the 1st two years of the NFL, and he becomes a starter and plays 6 more. 8 year NFL career- millionaire- retired at 35. You just never know…

Maybe but I think y’all are underestimating the fact that he’s 26 yrs old. The NFL doesn’t draft old dudes who have spent their careers injured. Gore would’ve still been 21-22, not approaching 30.
