This has been your open mind discussion: "CAL IS GOING TO KILL TENNESSEE!"

You have brought nothing to the table that has even the slightest bit of analysis to it. Saying "We're going to get you in September because we want revenge," then throwing out 2 year old links about stories and links of other teams beating us is NOT discussion.

Bring something interesting and most of us (I can speak for wbarron here) will enjoy it.

The Dude isn't a regular around here - and he isn't indicative of most of us. I called you a name earlier today, only because I let my emotions take over. You'll find the regulars here to be open minded and respectful.

We are not all mean spirited, just the over zealous. The facts support that this will be a very good game to begin the season with and will be fun to watch. Trash talking... UT presents better overall athleticism than Cal and SHOULD win the game like last year. Then again, that's exactly why they play on a field and not on paper. Good luck to you guys... after the opener of course.:p

Well earlier I just clicked on the thread and saw you posting pictures and stuff, so I said well 2 can play that game and started doing the same in defense of our team.

Well that’s just it, we all have to defend our team. Last year a guy named Volfanatic stayed in our forum for months. We started out friends and then everyone started to hate him because he kinda went nutz. He even made a website saying how bad Cal was…

No, of course not. What I am saying is I hope to restore relations between our two peoples. Clearly your Orange Nation is very powerful, and we are merely a Bear Territory. Playing you guys is very exciting for us, and we have a lot to prove. I just hope we can make it more entertaining this year.

I would be lying if I said I thought this game was for sure. I know there is an exceptionally high probability that Cal will lose. That does not mean I will not vigorously defend my team and champion its causes…

Why am I “groveling?” Because I admit that Tennessee is a great team steeped in rich tradition? Because I recognize that you may in fact destroy us? Or is it because you want me to say we will destroy you?

If "The Dude" knew anything about SF Bay Area sports he would know that De La Salle has producted MAYBE 3 quality Div-1A athletes over the last 3 years (one of which is a backup at Cal). Which is why you don't see a single DLS high school player at SC and UCLA, and only one at Cal. So I really doubt DLS could beat Cal.

The fact that you are actually considering the possibility of a high school beating your team doesn't bode well for Cal football.
