Any Vols Coming out to California for the Cal Game?

Just checking in to see if this thread is really still alive.

Diagnosis result: Holy crap.

Allow me to go "clone" style here:

"This has gone on way too long."

Signed, Brett Favre's career, Roger Clemens' off-season, those two hockey players who fought for a minute and a half, Chuck Norris jokes, U2 albums, George Bush's presidency, Rocky movies, CPF threads, the last Lord Of The Rings movie, phone calls with aunt Debbie, Courtney Love's career, ESPN2's Cold Pizza, televised baseball games, the idea that the Big East is a good football conference, The Topic That Will Never Die, the Brazillian soccer announcer who yells "goal", Al Davis' ineptitude, Paris Hilton's fame, CBS's Survivor and traffic jams.

i'd stop posting if Calbears and co. weren't running my teams name into the ground. No one would be happier than me to see the thread closed. I think i've repeated myself 50 times.

We can only play the games on our schedule. Nowhere have I argued that cal is some super national power.

It would probably help if you could wins those games on your schedule. :eek:k:

I still do not get how someone comes on the board after their team was thrashed and some how some way figures their team is the favorite heading into next year's game.

Teams get thrashed by one team on season and win the next year ALL THE TIME. It's a new season. Someone who won 10 games in 06, wont even have a winning record. Some team that went 5-7 will win 10 games. Am I 100% positive that Cal will beat UT? Of course not. Doesn't mean I'm not right. Those that think that ONE GAME tells you all you need to know about two programs clearly haven't watched much college football.

Really teams rebound or get better/worse from year to year. I should have gone to Cal and learned me some schooling.

So Tennessee with have a catastrophic drop in talent?

Nice!

:eek:k:

World of talent, lack of focus by the coaching staff that trickled down to the players.

So it's possible for a team with good talent to not play well. Really? So the only possible explanation for Cal getting blown out by Tenn is that Tenn has massively superior talent to Cal? Even if the recruiting rankings say otherwise? Or the polls? Your team is the only one allowed to underachieve every once in a while I suppose. . .

I would say Cal expected to win and were shocked when they got hit in the mouth and did not know how to recover.

CAL ROCKS!

Just like Waylon Smithers.......

Agree 100%. First time starters at QB and CB generally don't know how to handle such a situation.

I agree, Cal could not handle the adversity.

Question is, how will Tennessee handle the adversity of playing at Cal.

Judging by previous history, Tennessee plays better on the road against "tough" opponents.

The polls said Ohio State was #1 before the date in the desert. What happened wasn't underachieving, it was getting the crap kicked out of them. Losing isn't always the result of underachieving and, FLASH - the polls aren't reliable or accurate.
