Any word on Fulkerson coming back

Theyy are good players. Just not good by NBA standards. Keon cant shoot a three or handle the ball well. Springer is a good player, but is small by NBA standards. Those two guys will get eaten alive in the NBA. Both will never make it off the bench. Heck they are not dominating the SEC. Neither is close to being as good as Bone, Schofield or Grant Williams. They will probably end up in the d league next year.

I’ll bet you $1,000 right now barring major injury or arrest that one of Keon or Jaden will be on an NBA roster in 3 years.

It’s not them. Keon is extremely raw on offense, but the problem is the system we run
Could be. I realize their game may translate better for the next level. It appears to me they have a lot of work to do to be good NBA players. Not saying they can't. I can't blame them for leaving, but I wonder some times if these guys would not be better off in the long run to wait a year or two before jumping. They have not lived up to their hype this year.

This screams troll post, BUT if not you are out of your mind. Both of them are freshmen, and arguably have produced more as freshmen than anyone on a Tennessee roster since Tobias Harris. Are they NBA ready? I've said I do not believe so. However, they have the size, athleticism, and ceiling that all NBA scouts look for in a prospect and will have a long career whenever they choose to pursue it.

You cannot compare them to Bone, Schofield, or Grant unless you are comparing freshmen year to freshmen year. If Keon and Jaden hypothetically stayed in this system for 3-4 years is there ANY doubt they would not meet the Grant/Admiral comparison or exceed it by Year 3? Keon would probably go down as an all-time great if he had 3-4 years here. Grant was nothing to write home about his freshmen year.

I remember silly people saying Tobias needed another year, and he’s gonna make like $250M at the end of his current contract

It's because a lot of people just look at PPG as the determinant for how good someone is. I don't remember the exact number, but I believe he averaged something like 13-14 PPG and the smooth-brained individuals said he needed to work on his offensive capabilities before making the jump to the NBA. Lol.

It's taken Harris some time to be a more complete player, but the potential was there to get at his current level of play. Johnson might have a higher ceiling.

I respect the guy as a person. He’s trying hard, but with multiple injuries and COVID, he’s just physically and emotionally unable to perform. Anyone that questions his effort or desire is way out of line.
Agree. His track record says otherwise. I just think there’s no fuel in the tank. I still see Fulk as an NBA player. He had really bulked up in summer and looked to be about 20 pounds heavier.

If he came back I think he could get there.

Average fans don’t understand that the NBA drafts much more on potential (or perceived potential), than college production. Yes, the freshmen will have to improve a lot to be good NBA players. But whoever drafts them believes they can develop that.

His record shows half a season of excellent play surrounded by wildly varying degrees of poor to average play.

I will spare you a lashing on the NBA junk since it's my birthday. That's your only one though.

His numbers all last year were above average, yes he closed out the year on a tear but even looking at OOC games only his numbers were good.

Fulky was never even on NBA radars before the season, let alone now.

Even conceding that point, still overall wildly inconsistent. I was probably a little harsh in that assessment, but the inconsistency is deeper than being affected by injury/illness/pandemic imo. Not trashing Fulk at all, but for some it's easy to forget he was never really a great player outside what we've discussed.

Idk...I would consider a 31 game season a pretty good sample size, he progressed, that’s typical of many players. Kyle Alexander developed into a pretty good player his senior season, I think COVID effected Fulky quite a bit...he’s playing less minutes and getting winded more than I ever recall seeing from him, and that’s not mentioning looking leaner.

I don't necessarily disagree, but I would argue that a 31 game sample out of Fulk's career is not highly indicative over his overall trajectory.
