Because they clearly had multiple opportunities to put the game away but did not. Alabama handed the game to UGA n a silver platter but Richt still found a way to lose. You do not typically see a Saban coached team make the mistakes they made yesterday.

This is great. Chuck Oliver asks a passive aggressive question in the postgame presser and Mark Richt calls him on it. You'd think somebody proclaiming themselves the King of College Football would at least be gutsy enough to not have to use a straw man question when he's being "controversial". What on earth did he expect to get out of a coach a few minutes after a defeat like that?

No doubt about it. He's got to be beside himself. From the soft schedule to having the right people lose at the end of the year, it was a perfect scenario.

If UGA had made it to the title game, I was having a hard time of thinking of a team that made a quieter run in to the NC game.

I hate Georgia, but I was pulling for them hard last night. My wife's grandfather is a big fan and has had a rough couple of years. His wife, my wife's grandmother, has Alzheimer's and is declining. Uga games are the only real fun he has now and he was very excited about the game. Made me feel sad knowing how upset he probably was.

And it really wasn't even their fault. They can't control the schedule or the fact that Tennessee, Missouri, Auburn, Kentucky and Ga Tech were no good. One reason I never could buy into their momentum at the end of the year and their "improved defense" though was that after they faced us at the end of September, they never really played another decent offense.

Ga Tech was #22 in total offense, Bama was #26.

I wasn't including Alabama in that and Ga Tech is just a different animal completely. But the fact that they were probably the closest thing to a defensive test that there was in the back half of the schedule says something.

I've got no love for UGA, but I commend Richt at the press conference for not jumping across the table and ripping out that guy's jugular vein with his bare hands.

He handled that much better than most would have.

After watching the video, I can't help but wonder what if that was saban and not richt. lol, chucks family would be claiming life insurance today. That was the best Seccg with the ending that was.

To say he hasn't won the big game is stupid, the man has two nc rings to show recruits, won the sec twice, been there 5x in 12 years. Coached heisman winners and didn't he even get a ring as a player? Not sure on that one. If u win the sec, you have won the big one, you can't control voters or circumstances.

Reporter was out if bounds calling out Murray. Richt? Well, he's a man and he gets paid. Chuck 'chicken little' Oliver just got called on the carpet.

Richt had a brain fart at the end, but as much as I hate UGA, I can't hate on UGA for how hard they fought on Saturday. They played a great game.
