Yes, dude, I have. And I'd be willing to bet that less than 25 percent of cops have a criminal justice degree. On top of that, those degrees are being earned at ITT Tech, Rets Tech or even online schools. Those are not even real institutions or worth while of calling a college degree. Some may have one from an actual school, but most do not even have one so your argument is worthless

Pretty much any detective you see will have a degree nowadays. Either way, doesn't change the fact that your statement reeked of douche.
Okay look, the cops beating the students were not detectives nor are the KPD that are doing this constantly, so yes you completely backed off once again of you're point. Nonetheless, you're still full of douchebagerry

Detectives are like tier 2 cops, not the cops that are usually roaming the streets

Most, if not all, detectives have to patrol before they ever become detectives. It takes years to earn that. Whatever though, keep believing the only thing police officers do is give out traffic tickets and harass college students.
Not true at all. I have mad respect for police in big dangerous cities like New York. College towns and safe suburbian areas are another story

Completely disagree honestly. Very tough job? Sitting on the side of the highway waiting to give tickets, standing at sporting events being able to be paid and watch the game, attacking innocent people... Police with a lot of power? We just give them guns, tazers, and riot sticks, therefore making them feel like they have a hell of a lot more power then they really do.
No, think about the description of those stereotypical police descriptions and the environment that they would work in. The ones that use their badge as a power symbol. Those are perfect examples of the descriptions in my other post.

Cops are paid by taxpayers to protect and serve taxpayers. If one can't adjust his attitude from one situation to the next, then he is probably in the wrong line of work.[/B]
Not for everyone. It's more of a calling for most. Most of us, prior to the economic decline, could have easily made more money with our degrees. I work with CPA's, Attorneys, Engineers, and prior business owners daily. Personally, I didn't settle, it was something I wanted to do much like most of our military.
I have dismissed most of these posts due to knowing that a majority of them are made by young adults who still have issues with authority. But, I just want to take the time to point something out in this post.. I agree that I'm not a big fan of handing out tickets, but the tazers, guns, and "riot sticks", issued to police have saved countless lives including lives of criminals.
I have worked at the local, State, and Federal level and trust me when I say that these cops that exhibit the characteristics that you guys don't like are not liked by their peers. However, I would ask that you not judge all LE officers by one encounter with them as I would not judge anyone after one encounter. Imagine working in the ghetto one minute and the next you are answering an accident call or something mundane. Can you understand that changing ones attitude within minutes to handle the situations could be difficult? Not everyone can adjust.
When some of these cops are forced to go to prison for life for the murders they commit, then I will believe that they are held accoutable.Really? they are held accountable, It's called law suits.

Government Murders Innocent Men, Women and Children
And not everyone should be a LEO. (Not the sign) Read my posts to see I clearly understand that not all LEO's behave in this manor. But like I said, for every cop who doesn't, there (unfortunately) 2 that do.( We are talking about "uniforms" here; it goes along with the demographic they target.

I say anytime someone is mistreated by cops and they win in court, they should be allowed to return the favor to those cops as retribution. Especially if the people being mistreated were wrongly accused. If cops were held accountable for their actions, some of them wouldn't be such power abusing pricks. It's easy to abuse people when they can't fight back without even more repercussions than an a** kickin.
