Anybody notice the cops beating the crap out of our students!!

97% of people who do put on the uniform and badge don't have the nads to do the job. Gun sales are way up because citizens know they have to protect themselves since the police are too busy eating doughnuts, breaking mirrors off cars, tackling students, and wasting taxpayer dollars.

Taxpayers are paying the salaries of the KPD and UTPD and all we see from them is display after display of incompetent police work. It's like the policemen don't understand they're public servants and that taxpayers are paying their salaries to protect the public instead of being a public nuisance.

Your post is just stupid. If you think that it is a cop’s job to protect you then you will be in deep trouble should the unfortunate happen and someone tries to harm you. The majority of their time is spent on after the fact activities.

I fully support our police men and women. They have chosen to take on a very tough job. We entrust our police with a lot of a power. As such, that comes with a lot of responsibility and abusing that power should be considered a very serious crime. If anything is without oversight then it will lead to corruption.

I'm the one who said that gun sales are up because we have to protect ourselves because the police won't. You're the one who said the police would step in between a bullet and you.

I'll like the odds of my gun protecting me over the odds of Officer Ragon or any other of these cops taking a bullet for you. :eek:lol:

Sure there is little man complexes going on for a lot of officers but whenever I get frustrated at a cop I try to remember, if shooting were to break out they would put themselves between a bullet and me.

Completely disagree honestly. Very tough job? Sitting on the side of the highway waiting to give tickets, standing at sporting events being able to be paid and watch the game, attacking innocent people... Police with a lot of power? We just give them guns, tazers, and riot sticks, therefore making them feel like they have a hell of a lot more power then they really do.

1) It is not because they won't. They can't be at all places at all times. And most criminals choose to commit their crimes where there are no cops hanging about.

2) I have no doubt that if I find myself in a situation where bullets are being fired; I will be headed away from the danger while the cop will be headed toward it.

3) Sounds like a boy with more testosterone than brains.

I have been a cop for nearly 20 years and I have two degrees. I hope you actually learn something from yours.

If those students had been carrying a bb gun and smoking weed they would have been treated better. Law abiding citizens don't get the special treatment like our UT atheletes do.

Not for everyone. It's more of a calling for most. Most of us, prior to the economic decline, could have easily made more money with our degrees. I work with CPA's, Attorneys, Engineers, and prior business owners daily. Personally, I didn't settle, it was something I wanted to do much like most of our military.

I have dismissed most of these posts due to knowing that a majority of them are made by young adults who still have issues with authority. But, I just want to take the time to point something out in this post.. I agree that I'm not a big fan of handing out tickets, but the tazers, guns, and "riot sticks", issued to police have saved countless lives including lives of criminals.

I have worked at the local, State, and Federal level and trust me when I say that these cops that exhibit the characteristics that you guys don't like are not liked by their peers. However, I would ask that you not judge all LE officers by one encounter with them as I would not judge anyone after one encounter. Imagine working in the ghetto one minute and the next you are answering an accident call or something mundane. Can you understand that changing ones attitude within minutes to handle the situations could be difficult? Not everyone can adjust.

I am sure it is a tough job but If this officer is having a problem with adjusting from the ghetto to a controlled invironment like TBA then maybe he should be removed from his position and it appears since he has had several issues at TBA he does have a problem.

97% of those posting here don't have the nads to put on the uniform and badge for 12 hours and do the job. Get a life.

I'd imagine 40% chose a more lucrative employment. And 50% smoke weed. Ha
Looks like its you and jax bub. Call for backup!!!!

And not everyone should be a LEO. (Not the sign) Read my posts to see I clearly understand that not all LEO's behave in this manor. But like I said, for every cop who doesn't, there (unfortunately) 2 that do.( We are talking about "uniforms" here; it goes along with the demographic they target.

I wonder why you feel TBA and most other arenas are safe places.. hmmmmmm

well they scan for gun, knifes, weapons, bombs, etc. The highly trained officers should not be on edge for a weapon. So the officers need to go back and learn since there are no sticks and stones words will never hurt me.

Is the Ragon guy KPD or UTPD?

This incident and every other wrongful incident that has occurred this past year has been KPD. UTPD are there, do their job, but are not 1/8th as power hungry and out to get people. They thankfully realize they are just working with college students

Try handling domestic disputes, crazed wackos, dealing with fatal car wrecks, other deaths, etc.

Wow dude. Ever heard of a criminal justice degree?

Yes, dude, I have. And I'd be willing to bet that less than 25 percent of cops have a criminal justice degree. On top of that, those degrees are being earned at ITT Tech, Rets Tech or even online schools. Those are not even real institutions or worth while of calling a college degree. Some may have one from an actual school, but most do not even have one so your argument is worthless
