Two kids were arrested. I had floor seats in the corner that this occurred so I know what at least the second guy did. I looked to the Rowdies after the game and saw one kid trying to run onto the floor, so yes he probably deserved to get arrested. However, the student in question NEVER GOT OUT OF THE ROWDIES SECTION. This kid never even touched the black carpet behind the goal. He came down, pointed at a cop, and said, "That guy is innocent!" then turned to walk back into the Rowdies. The cops saw this then ran into the student section after him, pulled him out, threw him onto the ground at my feet, and used excessive force to put him in cuffs. The entire time the kid kept saying, "I wasn't doing anything!" A few friends and I who were right there due to the cops throwing him to the ground in front of us told the cops he wasn't doing anything wrong. The cops responded to this by pointing at us and telling us to shut the f*** up and leave the building. We just looked at them said no, and went to where Renaldo, Hall, Pearl, and Hopson were. Like I said though, I'm pretty certain that the first kid was in the wrong, the second one however did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

this story is right. i was on the second row isle were it all happened. the first kid took a swing at the cop and fought back when the cop tried to get him. the second kind of tried to rush the court but as soon as the cop tried to stop him he stopped.

No American deserves to be treated like a criminal unless proven guilty. If you saw an injustice you and the group with should report it. It's the American way. That's the only way to win back our freedom from these type of control freak officers. Justice for all. Take this :finger3: coppers!

Nothing worse than cops. Guys who have been pushed around there entire life and now they have a badge and a gun and it is time for payback.

Sure there is little man complexes going on for a lot of officers but whenever I get frustrated at a cop I try to remember, if shooting were to break out they would put themselves between a bullet and me.

I say anytime someone is mistreated by cops and they win in court, they should be allowed to return the favor to those cops as retribution. Especially if the people being mistreated were wrongly accused. If cops were held accountable for their actions, some of them wouldn't be such power abusing pricks. It's easy to abuse people when they can't fight back without even more repercussions than an a** kickin.

know what you are talking about before making a stupid post like this. if cops are found to be in the wrong, they are punished. they could be suspended, lose their job or even be prosecuted. it is also very possible they were in the right in this situation. untill you do the job, keep you mouth shut.:crazy::crazy:

you can't be found guilty unless you are treated like a criminal fist. don't resist and you won't get your butt kicked.

I plan on calling the chief of police tomorrow. There were plenty of witnesses and a cop named Ragon, who was involved in the incident at the game, was also involved in another situation outside the arena before a women's game a little while back.

Thats just it though man. The second kid didnt resist and was actually WALKING away back into the student section, was grabbed, drug out of the Rowdies, thrown onto the floor, then about 4 cops jumped on top of him while another held his head down and put him in cuffs. He never resisted and just said "I didnt do anything wrong!"

Unless a gun was drawn or life threatening, no way. I can speak from experience watching 18 year olds in lock up, 5-1,15-1, ratios sometimes, so no, you have overly aggressive people violating peoples rights.Remember years ago when the cops shot a mental patient displaying a knife and instead of rushing her like they are taught to do in mental wards(with pillows, etc), they shot her dead.PITIFUL.

Also did you see where some mental patient escaped a facility in east TN and the officer approached and was killed.......unless your in their shoes you cant say what you would do.

Whatever year we played rutgers(it was tied or real close into the 3rd ahhhh) my father and I parked on one of the backstreets in front of a house. It was not marked and wasn't impeading anyones access or route. Anyway, we returned after the game and our car was gone. I was relatively young so I was useless to try and get help. My dad naturally went to the nearest cops as we didn't know if it was stolen or towed. The cop said something to the effect of "leave me the hell alone, I'm not helping you" we tried another cop who said it wasn't his area so he wouldn't know. I don't remember the exact words exchanged but my dad (mild manored, easy going) was heated. After 45 minutes or so. A non-prick cop finally gave us the information and proper # to get our car. Needless to say we had to walk 2 miles to a bus....ride a bus out to the knoxville zoo iirc, and then walk another mi or so to a impound lot. Where they RIPPED US A NEW ONE. Iirc it was 200 or something. Geez, paps talked the whole way home to chatt about how they were scamming the people during the fall and how much money they were making at it. Crazy!

That's what we all saw. I literally turned to my friend beside me and said "what the fxck did that guy do? Little excessive, eh?"

It was sickening.

University of Tennesee Police represent our university by assaulting a law-abiding student and criminals like Williams, Tatum, and Goins represent UT on the court. UT needs a character overhaul.

What did he do at the women's game?

I've had run-ins with 2 bad cops in my life. The last was about 3 months ago in Jeff County. I hate a bad cop like I hate a criminal. I have the utmost respect for a good cop..and I could care less is a bad one takes a bullet in the face.

It was before the game. Some friends of mine were parking in a lot requiring a pass. They had the pass. . . Ragon didnt let them in and in the process of jumping in front of their car broke their mirror because he grabbed it.

And should just look away whenever that 3 % with nads gets their pride hurt and takes things into their own hands?

No, the coward's way is to pretend it didn't happen.

Who had to pay for the repair of the mirror?

a) Ragon
b) taxpayers
c) your friends

97% of people who do put on the uniform and badge don't have the nads to do the job. Gun sales are way up because citizens know they have to protect themselves since the police are too busy eating doughnuts, breaking mirrors off cars, tackling students, and wasting taxpayer dollars.

Taxpayers are paying the salaries of the KPD and UTPD and all we see from them is display after display of incompetent police work. It's like the policemen don't understand they're public servants and that taxpayers are paying their salaries to protect the public instead of being a public nuisance.

That was a perfect example of how bad the knoxville police have gotten recently. That was police brutality. From one of the kids I know that was standing near the 2 that were arrested, all they did was act like they were going to storm the court, flinching back and forth, taunting the officer. I'm sorry but that doesn't deserve getting beat up and arrested

Cops suck, but we all knew that. The kid didn't kill anyone, that's the only justification I could find for beating the hell out of him like they did. I was drunk too so I made the poor decision to throw my coke on the cops below.

I was unaware. Maybe the KPD or UTPD does, but I have no experience with them.
