Anyone else think we win our last 6 games?

I'm all in. 6-0. And if we do it I am going to go on an excited profanity laced tirade that would make Josh Pastner blush--and then suspend me indefinitely.

I think we finish the year 6-0, win 1-1 in the SEC tourney. Go 1-1 in the NCAA tourney.

The sports Gods will allow CCM will be here another year were we finish .500 next year.

The problem is...I doubt we still fire him when we don't make the tournament. We'll see what our AD is about but how bad are ticket sales and other sales? That's the deciding factor IMO. As long as people support a product and UT makes money, they likely don't care.

Hart better care if he wants to keep his job.

It's obvious coach Martin cannot get the job done, however if we arent going to go after pearl then realistically who could we get at this point that would be that much of an upgrade?

Pearl or bust IMO

If you think I support Cuonzo Martin, then you haven't been paying attention. And if you view my post as some ringing endorsement for him, well, I can't help you.

Let me spell it out for you...

His team's Jekyll and Hyde performance this season has soured the fanbase so badly (and rightfully so), that they demand change, irrespective of anything he could do from this point forward. Minds have been made up, and there is no turning back. Apathy is what it takes to foster change, and fan apathy has set in. Change WILL occur, be it in 2014 or 2015. If Martin can't coach this group of talent to a comfortable NCAA berth, then it's doubtful he can coach up a group of less-talented players to one.

How you view that as my undying support for all things CCM is beyond me.

Lots of guys would be an upgrade to Martin. Its just would our administration do what it would take to get a young up and comer to give us a shot? Or get an old dog to leave his comfortable surroundings? I think Hart COULD make a good hire without it being Pearl. If they knock the cobwebs off the wallet.

Hart is tied to Butch. If Football gets turned around, then Hart can kick back with his legs propped up on his desk and collect a check.

I agree.

and it's impossible to say who we could actually get because we don't know how much UT is willing to pay. My guess, from past coaching searches, is not very much.

Soooo, since I wasn't willing to throw him out prior to this season months ago, obviously I still support him 100% now? Seems legit.

I renounced my unconditional support for him after the NCSU game (and have said as much several times since), but don't let that stop you from carelessly slinging mud.

most probably loss is at Auburn, IMO. Win 4 straight, most people consider us in, then get caught looking ahead to Mizzou

You think it's likely that we beat Vandy and only lose to Mizzou if we got caught looking ahead?

I'm calling both loses.

Do you REALLY think this team has the GANAS to do that?! I cant trust this team anymore. Im sick of getting my heart ripped out after every freakin collapse. Our coach stinks and this team is nothing more than a bumbling circus. They have the talent and SHOULD win the rest of the games...yes. But, we all know they are soft, weak and fragile and will NOT.

Georgia will be interesting. I'm sure the team is down so a big home win would do wonders. Georgia is playing decent right now.-
