Yes, and we don't know how her pregnancy played into the OOC schedule as well. Perhaps she wanted to play fewer games with minimal travel due to wanting to take care of herself and baby while giving the team ample time to learn her system. It will be interesting to see next year schedule. Poor tyke will probably have their birthday near the beginning of conference play every year.
🙂 Well, I guess we need to celebrate it every year with a victory! 🎂 Would just be mannerly to do so.

Not disagreeing with your general point but we don't actually know CKC's philosophy regarding pre-conference strength of schedule. The LV tradition has been to play a brutally tough schedule to prepare for rigors of tournament basketball (and to grow the game) but it has never really been clear that tough games in November have that much direct pay-off in March.

Uconn won many NCs feasting on cupcakes in their pre-conference games. It seems like a few (2 or 3) hard games in pre-conference may be more than sufficient.

Even next year, the team will be overhauled with an influx of freshman and who knows what might transpire in the portal (which can flow both in and out).
Don't worry. No need to say you're not disagreeing, since I only said "It will be safer next season to" aid NET numbers by raising the bar to around 100-150.

To be filed under “They hate us cause they anus” black board material narrative, I came across this quote and it gave me a twerk:

“The Lady Vols (7-0) had not been ranked since Nov. 27, 2023, a span of 22 polls. Since the rankings began in 1976, Tennessee has been in the Top 25 in 779 of 870 total weeks (89.5%).” - AP via ESPN.com

Seems like they would have ranked that 89.5% appearance rate… 🤣🤙🏼🧡

They seem to take great care noting the coming and going of teams appearing in their poll. Rereading an earlier release of the poll gave me a fuzzy:

Well deserved and likely will stay in TOP 25 all year.

Looks like we will make it to Conference play undefeated (12-0) then I think 10-6 in conference play and probably 0-1 Against UConn

22-7 in year one before discussing post season play would be a huge 1st year.
I would be surprised if this LV team loses 7 games by the end of conference play, I am anticipating maybe 4-5 losses tbh.

12-0 before conference is a good prospect. Iowa was the game that seemed most uncertain.

We have Uconn at home which makes an upset a bit more likely

For that game and conference play, so much depends on health. CKC's system depends on having a full complement of players to rotate without significant dropoff.

And some players like Cooper and Spencer are kind of essential to the whole operation.

But, if the team can avoid too many injuries, I could see 12-4 or even 13-3.
