Apparently, we didn't impress Arky State fans

Maybe you have poor reading comprehension skills. Because you apparently missed the part where I said they won't be able to hang for 4 quarters. That implies that I believe they will ultimately fair poorly.

However, I am fairly familiar with ASU since I'm an alum of a Sun Belt school and follow the conference with some regularity. The program of the last 3 yrs is not subpar. Harsin is a mediocre coach and wasn't able to maintain what Freeze and Gus had started. If you honestly believe some HS teams could beat them then you truly are as stupid as you sound.

Edit: forgot the always mature response; butthurt?

Like I said... Butt hurt.

You ever go to little rock and watch the high school championships?

And just for the sake of the argument, my original comment was meant to poke fun. Not to be taken literal.

But if y'all want to play the numbers, we can. It will just have to be tomorrow. I'm tired and my grandson is on his way to the children's hospital in little rock. I'm a little pre-occupied.

To be fair, there are tons of people on here always claiming we'll beat Oregon, bama, oklahoma ect every year so...

I'm just glad this game is a Noon kickoff. I don't think I think I could take another all day tailgate on a short week. I'm on brown liquor overload and I think I have cornhole elbow.

Right there with ya. Hopefully by the Florida game I will be in mid-season tailgating form. A 3pm kickoff would be nice

20 volnation dollars say you live on the east side of the state?

I do but I watch high school football teams from all over the state. I see where you said you didn't mean it literally so I will drop it. Hope all is well with your grandson.

ASU has the exact same 2 chances USU had of coming into Neyland looking for a win. Slim and none!

Well, that settles it. Somebody needs to go to their board and put them in their place. Make sure you use horrible grammar and misspell a lot of words. That really gets the point across.

LOL! Aw, man...you killed me with that one.

And people wonder why the term "negavol" gets used so much.

This was in fact a big win. Not because it was Utah St but because of the tone it sets for the remainder of the season. Confidence and belief goes a long way and thats what this game gave our team. It was also an impressive win. I've learned to appreciate any and all of our wins, maybe you should too?

Negavol does get used too much

My wife just punched me in the shoulder because I woke her up laughing at this.

I'm going to start getting worried if we can't run the ball.

Just take more of you anti-negavol vitamins and you'll be good. Seriously if we don't have a running game against them then we should all worry but I think the problem against USU was the weird defensive looks they showed. Our line was very much confused by those formations as were our RBs and even Worley a few times. As green as our line is and that being their first game I think that confusion and disruption of our OL's ability to run block is understandable.

Next week should be far more traditional and should allow our young line to show us whether or not they can block worth a darn but one thing they did do that gives me hope is they pushed the pile by a lot to get the extra yardage and gave tremendous second effort. That was just one play but it was something I never saw our old line do. In fact, we'd be talking about going to better bowl game instead of just getting to one if our line had been able to push for a yard last season.

Yep. We made USU look like a bad FCS team. The final score was 38-7, but it wasn't even that close, IMO.

And USU would beat Arky St by 14…

My early prediction if Worley and our D plays the way they did Sunday: 52-14

Also clear up some of those penalties and we should be rocking even more come Saturday. We left some points on the field Sunday night...

And be sure to type with a hillbilly accent when describing how "we gun whip sum red wolf arse".

Vegas is giving them 14, may they should empty out their 401ks and mortgage their houses to cash in on this golden opportunity

I didn't realize Walmart offered a 401k and I am not sure what they could mortgage a 25 year old double wide for currently.

This was big in that the defense played a very disciplined, strong game, and shows the potential to return to the great defenses of old. Still need a lot of work on the running game, can't beat the better SEC teams without a respectable run game. Otherwise, much improved from last year.

Am I impressed by the way we played, yes, but I still don't and never will consider Utah state a big win.

Confidence builder. It may not be a huge game in the great scheme of things, but it certainly helped our team get over the first game jitters and our freshmen the chance to play in front of a packed house.

And being that they proved practically everyone in the sports world wrong is helpful as well.

Absolutely. It was a good confidence booster. We treated Utah state like they were Utah state. Ppl kept agreeing with some arky st. Fan in that this was somehow this big win for us and we might have the big win hangover for them, NO. South Carolina was a big win. This wasn't.

Dude, you're really serious about a highschool team in Arkansas actually beating a college team in Arkansas aren't you? Thought it was a joke I missed at first but you're really, actually serious. Wow.
