Apparently, we didn't impress Arky State fans

I need to calm down? What was offensive/provocative about my post?

Just thought your post was unnecessary and didn't know if you knew who you were replying to or not.

Obviously you know and don't care so your loss IMO.

If he knows and doesn't care, then he obviously is not a true Vol fan. I was in the Swamp in 2001 and VFL34 to this day is still one of my all time favorite players. 226 yds I believe.

I appreciate it bruh. I've learned that sometimes we just have to tune some things out. Spent many games tuning out ignorant comments by opposing fans. The Florida game was an exception.

He shouldn't CHANGE his opinion because it differs from yours, but his tone would change if he knew what you mean to this program...like you said when you and I got crossways last year...you bled and sweated on the field for the Big Orange! Always appreciate you posting on here with your take.

I can't start a post, so I thought I'd say good luck Saturday on this thread. If you don't mind, could someone post a list of Tennessee players to keep an eye on? I'll switch over to the SEC network and watch a little during commercials and half time of the OU game and I'd like to know who you think will stand out. I need intel before our game next week! Thanks and Boomer Sooner!

Way to post on an opposing site IMO...going to be in Norman that weekend...post on those threads coming up with tips for us orange invaders. :)

Most are saying that they weren't impressed at all with our team. They said USU made too many mistakes and made it easy for us.

I thought it was very good showing by UT, its very hard to make comparisons especially this early in the year. The only thing that stuck out to me was OL, that seemed like it needed extra work. What stood out to me further was the speed of the DBs in run short or WR screen support.

Not sure what game they were watching, I wouldn't saying it was completely dominating but it was a very good solid win.

So..... I don't think Worley is the second coming of a Heisman trophy candidate and the best QB in team, if not NCAA history in Manning or the player that led the Vols to it's only national title in most of our lifetimes and my arguments are "discredited" ?

Who exactly put you in charge of everyone's opinion on here anyway?

No. It was your comparison. It doesn't take an opinion emperor to recognize that kind of ridiculousness. The alternatives are bias and stupidity. He gave you the benefit of the doubt.

The win against USU in itself wasn't a "big win" but rather the fact that we creamed them. It was a statement game, I think the final line right before kickoff was a little over three points so all things considered it was a great game and I wouldn't be shocked if we stomp Ark a State too.

On the season tickets for USU it states General Neyland's maxim: The team that makes the fewest mistakes wins.

We made the fewest mistakes. We won.

How sweet, you two must have a special relationship.

Made plenty of follow up statements to back up the comparison.

And frankly, if Clausen was on this roster, he would beat out Worley.

Just like Peterman nearly did.

I could care less what you, SJT the Great and Powerful or anyone else thinks, I find it absurd the way people slammed Worley all off season then jump on his jock after one game.

The guy is a decent, not great QB if he can minimize mistakes. Try to pass one game off as some huge step forward is fools gold, something which you two obviously have in abundance.

In case you don't know, you should feel honored. Guy who responded to your question (VFL34) is Travis Stephens, one of the greatest RB's in our program's history. Look him up. He shredded Florida in 2001 for 226 yards, leading us to a shocking upset. (I made a smartass comment to one of his threads one time, only to realize later who he was. Boy did I feel stupid.)

Considering Arky State was in a close game with a bad FCS team puzzles me as to why some of you think this will be a close game. Montana State is not Montana.

Man I remember Georgia game where I thought he single handily won that game. Neyland was rocking after he took it to the house, but then quite when Georgia scored to win the game. Most don't know that he was our leading rusher in the National Championship game.
» Georgia (Oct. 6, 2001)
Scored what appeared to be the winning touchdown on a 62-yard screen pass from Casey Clausen, only to have Georgia rally in the closing seconds for a 26-24 decision. Also rushed 30 times for 176 yards.

They should take their 750,000 payoff and forfeit like Idaho State did to Florida and save getting their sorry butts kicked in three days.

I want them to feel what the Aggies felt every third down!

I think the score will be closer because we will try to run more. Not a close game, but closer than the last one.

If Knight is ineffective (or gets hurt) at QB, does Stoops go with Bell? Or is Bell strictly TE this year ?

That's the big question. Blake Bell has been taking some snaps at QB, but not much, indicating they haven't ruled it out. Trevor Knight's backup is Cody Thomas, a redshirt freshman who sustained a minor injury (strained muscle) before the season started, and he's expected to be 100% in time for the game this weekend. If Knight goes down at some point in the season, it could be a long game for us.
