Surely, Wyatt and his family are not unhinged like this MPW dude. I bet they are nice reasonable people who care about their son and looking at offers with level heads. I bet they would be shocked to find out that MPW had been on this board for days posting like he has and acting like he was the family's only hope .

MPW was very insulting to Wyatt's family. Declaring that Wyatt's father who is a coach didn't know how to contact a staff was condescending and ugly. And that they didn't know how to post Hudl or use twitter, according to MPW, was an equally weird attack on the family. Only MPW, you see, could save the "ignorant family" -- that's how MPW told his tale.

The more I evaluate this situation the more I'm with you. This dude has created hundreds (literally) of random, pointless threads in the FF for attention and has also claimed to be personal friends with Fulmer.

We'll see where this recruitment goes.

It stood out to me that @Mose Phillip's Watch claimed to be friends with Fulmer yet had to resort to this forum to draw attention to a recruit he supposedly knows personally. He's probably just full of ****.

Yep. Kid was so disrespected he felt the need to go on social media and post how excited he was to get an offer. Doesn’t sound like something is adding up here.

If the player and family are upset and not considering us we just need to move on. It is not like we are not getting really good talent at LB.

But I do think the kid has some awesome video and will make a very good LB somewhere and I wish him luck except against us. I wish he was here, but so be it.

But reading thru the posts in this thread I have to ask if MPW is trying to assume some kind of handler role? If so, I can understand where the mistakes could have happened. If that is the case I haveI no fault with our staff and truly think they are doing the right thing.

I will say that Wyatt Simmons seems like a really good player in his Hudl. He is quick, he hits, and he has a nose for the football. I suppose the issue is that we had and have so many LBs on our board. I don't know that we can take more than Cole, if we get him, without creating a weakness in our recruiting class. We have Spillman and Burns, who look super. We are also short scholarships yet again.

If it is true what someone said, that Simmons was offered a PWO with NIL and the opportunity to advance from there; and if it is also true (but the unreliable MPW is the source) that Wyatt and his father are both huge Tennessee fans; then I would hope that he would take the offer. I could picture him here. That standing could change for him pretty fast.

But it looks like on On3 (at least) he is projected as an all-but-lock to his home state Arkansas team. I would guess that Arkie is his team, not the Vols. Idk. MPW's answer when someone asked him if Wyatt or Wyatt's father really (I forget which) really is a huge Vol fans, was something like: "Yes. He lived in Memphis for a few years before moving years ago." Living in Memphis does not entail being a huge Vols fan, as I'm sure everyone gets, much less long ago. That is a weird answer and probably means: No, he is not. But he could be! Either way, Tennessee is the bigger opportunity imo.

Anyway, we'll just have to see. Our defensive analyst who contacted him is a serious guy. Before joining our staff, he contacted guys for Sabey. Not sure MPW understands that, but I hope the family grasps the facts.

Let’s see here. Wyatt gets a message from TN coaches about his TN Football offer. However, supposedly there had been Zero communication between TN coaches and Wyatt’s family. Did TN Coaches find his phone number in the Yellow Pages. Deep thoughts by Cosmo Kramer. Mose Phillips Watch can’t handle the truth or a Volnation Code Red.

If his genuinely direct first message from ut was “you know you have an offer” then how did the coaches get his #? They had to contact someone first, right? Say they contacted his hs coach first then that would be on the hs coach, not us. Something does not add up here

1000% chance that this kid is in no way a life long fan if that's all it took to turn him off. And if it was, I wouldn't want someone that soft on the team anyways.
