If the SEC is going to get only 3 bids....this win looks REALLY good for the Hogs and puts us in a worse situation We need teams we are even with to lose not collect major wins on the road against ranked teams.

I think Arkansas may have just played their way in to the tournament.

Vols need to win out and win a couple in the SEC tournament. Even then, there will be some upsets who steal bids in conference tournaments like last year, which will make it even tougher for us.

It doesn't matter that UK lost, what matters is that Tennessee needed the help from UK to win to get into the tourney. I doubt the SEC gets only 3 bids, but Arkansas winning at Kentucky gives them better a better shot at one of the 4 or 5 than Tennessee.

No we don't and no it is not bad for UT basketball! I hope Arky's win and Kentucky loss proves to be a double bonus for us. Kentucky loses and this win helps get rid of CCM!
:good!:

Arkansas has a better record than us and their best win is better than our best win. Hard to say it doesnt matter for us.

Virginia RPI is better than Kentucky fwiw

That game was at Rupp verse ours at TBA, however Arkansas also has a SOS near triple digits while ours is almost single digits.

Long way to go. People get way too emotional after each win and loss. Hell, just look at our fans with our team. We were back in after UVA/LSU/Ole Miss/Bama. Not close after first aTm. Out after Vandy. In after UGA. Out after aTm. If one thing is for sure it's that bubble teams are bubble teams for a reason.

But that was a HUGE win for Arky. I think they have 4 top 50 RPI wins now.

I'll never understand RPI. I look at our wins and we're 7-9 against RPI top 100, 7-3 vs 101-200 and 4-0 against 200+. I look at Arky and they are 7-9 vs RPI top 100, 6-1 vs 101-200 and 7-0 vs 200+. I guess I do understand in that they played 3 more games vs 200+. Maybe it's that I don't understand Lunardi that had us in the tourney but Arky nowhere near the bubble.

Solid win by the Razorbacks. This does nothing to Tennessee though. We could still get four or five teams in. I guessed four at the beginning of the season and still feel the same. Just win and everything works itself out.

I root for KY to win a BB game about once every 20-30 years & of course the ONE time I want them to win (only to help UT) they lose!....but on the bright side, Kentucky lost!
