and FTR, a coin flip would be pretty awesome. We'd be going all Billy Bob Thorton / Friday Night Lights on people.

What determines tie beakers for like the sec standings?

1. Two-Team Tie. The following procedure will be used in the following order until the tie is broken:
A. Won-lost results of head-to-head competition between the two teams.
B. Won-lost record of the two teams versus the No. 1 seed (and proceeding through the No. 14 seed, if necessary).
C. Coin flip by the Commissioner.

2. Three-Team Tie (or more). When three or more teams are tied, the following procedure will be used in the following order until the tie is broken. If two teams remain tied after a tiebreaker provision, the two-team tiebreaker formula will be used.
A. Best winning percentage of games played among the tied teams (Example: Team A is 3-1, Team B is 2-2 and Team C is 1-3 - - Team A would be seeded highest, Team B second-highest and Team C lowest of the three).
B. Best winning percentage of the tied teams versus the No. 1 seed (and proceeding through the No. 12 seed, if necessary).
C. If two teams remain, coin flip by the Commissioner.
D. If three or more teams remain, draw by the Commissioner.

For the purpose of seeding, if an institution is precluded from participating in the tournament, it shall automatically be seeded last in its division. The No. 5 seed with the best record will then receive a bye. However, for the purpose of breaking ties, that team shall remain where it finished in the regular-season standings BEFORE being seeded last.

This thread proves what I thought. Most of the posters on here know nothing about how college basketball works. This is funny.

Ding ding ding.

Both us and Arkansas win out, and we have the edge still.

Vandy will beat the Vols tomorrow, they are a better team and our guys are due for the every other game letdown. Wait and see, if they shots don't fall, we will. and uhm, if we cant get Pearl to come back- just leave CM in place, cause we aren't going to lure a big-time coach here - it is the Fulmer scenario all over again. Why does a gilt-edge coach want to come to a school not known for big-time BB in the pre-Pearl Era, and a school that fires a coach with a winning record who took over a dumpster fire? Not very likely to happen.

If we win today I'll feel better about our chances of winning out, because as you said we seemed ready for our let down. Although at auburn next will be stomach churning if we win today.

I disagree with people who say Vandy will beat us. I really think we might run Vandy out of the gym with a blow out today. I think we might win by over twenty. I really expect us to destroy them so we'll see if my feeling is right real soon.
